Internet service went down several times during my stay, very inconvenient.

1. During 24 hours Internet cut out twice. 2. The TV did not work. 3. One of the bedside lamps did not work.

The Hawaii Prince is a nice hotel that was not very expensive. The room was nice and overall I enjoyed my stay. The only negative comment is that the hotel is a little far from the main beach area but they have a shuttle bus and their always seemed to be a cab or two out front.

The hotel staff was very courteous - even when I locked myself out of my room. I ordered room service one night and the food was a bit underwhelming for the price, but I'm not sure if I've ever had overwhelming room service anywhere. My room overlooked the marina and ocean - the sunsets were completely Hawai'i! Waikiki is down the street a bit, but […] within easy walking distance. We had a 2 day stay and we really enjoyed our stay. A nice touch was giving us hot hand towels at the check-in desk. The lobby is large, clean and comfortable - with a player piano going. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the Waikiki beach and shopping areas every 30 minutes which we used even though we had a car since parking is impossible at those […] areas. Loud hard surfaces thru out. Makes for extremely loud lobby area. Breakfast wait staff was very solicitous and attentive.

Good location, good view, tidy and large room, free wifi and wired internet access, highly recommended!

Great place to stay -- this hotel has comfortable rooms, all with ocean front views, short walking distance to Ala Moana Park/Beach, Ala Moana Shopping Center. First class service. My family loves to stay at this hotel and we'll be back.

Most of the hotels in Waikiki are showing their age since they were built in the 70s, but this hotel is holding up well. They are also planning renovations of the hotel rooms. The staff is very pleasant and nice and I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in town. Thank you to the night manager Sean!

For our 1-week vacation to Hawai'i we started with 2 nights in Honolulu, 5 nights on the Big Island, and then 1 more night in Honolulu. Since I am a grad student we decided to cut costs where we could and stayed in a hostel for the first 2 nights in Honolulu and planned to splurge on a fancy hotel for our last night, this is the hotel we chose. The […] location on the marina is nice - you can walk less than a mile to Waikiki beach along the water. The view of the marina from the 20th floor was sweet. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had a separate stall for the toilet and shower, which made getting ready quickly to go out a breeze (and even included generous 2 oz toiletry bottles). The room also included a fridge (great for saving leftovers for breakfast) and bathrobes (baller). The front desk was helpful - they provided beach towels and even had postcard stamps for sale. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable but the bath needs updating. I believe that is scheduled. The location is within easy walking distance of Waikiki Beach or Ala Moana Beach and the incredible Ala Moana Mall.

Very dissatified with Hawaii Prince Hotel. Should have stayed at Turtle Bay. Our roon felt old and smelly. Bugs and moths!!!! No Ipod/alarm clock device. Not happy with our stay.

This is a really nice hotel and the hotel restaurants are very good (pricey, but good). The hotel is located just before the crazy part of Waikiki, so easier in and out of the area. Nice beaches are walking distance, and so is a major shopping center with everything imaginable you might want to buy. The rooms are good size, and the bathroom is big (tub […] and separate shower!). While clean, the hotel was very dated. It was clear they are doing renovations but they weren't evident in our room. If your expectations are for a 4 star hotel, this is not it.

The hotel is in a quiet area facing the marina (view of opening scene to Gilligan's Island). Waikiki shops, restaurants, and hotels are 1-2 miles east, and if you enjoy walking, it is doable. Driving and parking was frustrating, so we preferred to walk most of the time. I stayed 2 nights on my honeymoon. The location was good, it is near to Ala Moana shopping center. The staff was very kind and room was clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The Prince is a very nice hotel -- some of the rooms are showing their age, and we ended up in one of those, but they are doing a thorough renovation, so this should be remedied soon. This hotel was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in since the Plaza in NYC. The Price is clean, efficient and the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make my stay great. This hotel seems to be under Japanese management for Japanese tourists - and relying on the fact that if they provide Japanese language access, they can get away with substandard service. Because my room was on the 7th floor NO BEDSPREAD was provided. How cheap can they get !!!!

The porters and the desk personnel were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room on the ninth floor was very nice. Although not on the beach, the hotel is conveniently located from the airport, shopping and dining.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The position of the hotel is superb with all room overlooking the marina and the sea. A free shuttle bus is provided into the centre of Waikiki, the shopping centre and beach area at regular intervals. Lots of amenities for walking in a park, sunbathing on the beach and eating out are in easy walking distance. […] There is a tour representative in the lobby so that you can book one of the great local tours such as 'Pearl Harbour' at the same price as you will find from the street sellers. The rooms are extremely dated, however, the bathroom was clean and the service was impeccable. This was the first time that I utilized Hotels.com. The rating of a "4" was not justified compared to other hotels with that rating.

The staff was friendly. The mattress of the king size bed was too soft for us. It's bearable, just not as comfort as we expected. In our past visits, we stayed at the places that were close to the main attractions and they were noisy at night. This time is a good change to a quiet surroundings. The free shuttles to the Waikiki Beach is a plus.

I'd rate this hotel on par with an older Ramada Inn, though the bathroom was nice. The shower is pretty small and the furniture in the room was definitely dated - including an analog radio built into the wooden night stand (I think these were made in the mid 80s?!). The carpet was damp when we entered the room. Nice toiletries though. This hotel caters […] to Japanese clients as there were Japanese newspapers, and loads of Japanese tour buses parked in front. Hotel was good place to stay on first visit to Hawaii. Room was clean, a little dated in decor. Not real close to center of Waikiki but there is a convenient shuttle. Overlooks marina and sometimes noice from street behind hotel can be a problem.

This is a perfectly fine hotel, just nothing special. Near the mall and an ABC store, which helps when traveling on business. Hotel a little outdated and not a lot of good choices for dining in or nearby (outside of mall). No wireless - is this ancient times? No balconies and when open windows there is a lot of noise from building equipment (air conditioning?). […] For the price would stay down closer to Waikiki beach. Staff were friendly and helpful! Lobby and common areas wonderfully maintained, and the breakfast food was good, but we did not eat dinners at the hotel so I cannot comment on dinners. It is a great location and a nice sized hotel with big rooms, but the decor and furniture are dated and worn, though clean. Certainly glad I paid Hotels.com rate instead of advertised standard rate given the condition. Perfectly fine for my overnight stay.

While the rooms were big in size, it did not live up to the 4 stars it was given. There was not enough light in the room, the light switches were too low and therefore too difficult to find there was paint chipping off the ceiling. Hotel is very dull, no excitement at all.Very nice to look at, but no life to it. Rooms are OK, location is OK, but it is not on the beach, but short walk which is not bad.
