この金額で街のど真ん中で朝食までついていたら文句なしです。 私たちはコナの最初の3日間をこのホテルで過ごし、コナの街を歩き回りました。

一人旅になってしまったので、出来るだけ安いホテルをと思い選びました。 部屋は全体的に古びてる感があるのと、隅々まで掃除機かけてないなーっ、という感じです（笑）。 バスタブもお湯を張ってつかりたい、とは思えませんでした。エレベーターは閉塞感があり、古さからしてもちょっとコワくて乗れませんでした。 しかしフロントの人はいい人ばかりですし、朝食もそれなりについていて、プールもあり、Wi-Fiも無料で使えるし、なんといっても立地がよい！ バスで移動するにも、待ちをぶらぶらするにもとてもよい場所でした。 逆に中心地なので、静かに過ごしたい方には向かないかも知れません。

目の前にコナインレストランがあるし街歩きにはとても便利。無料の朝食は果物（毎日パパイヤでした）とパン、（マフィン、食パンでトースターが有）飲み物でした。物足りなければ近くで朝から手軽な価格でブレックファーストをやっています。日本語は通じませんが日本人観光客が多いせいかホテルでも然程困らず、快適に過ごせました。リゾートホテルの感覚で行くと外れかもしれませんが、長閑で落ち着いてすごせました。

konaのアリイドライブの真中にあり近くにレストランや観光スポットも有る便利なホテル。古さは有りますが居心地の好いホテルです。

ホテル自体はよくありませんでした。 シャワーと寝るだけなら良いと思います。 防犯的に怖かったです。 周りはいろんなお店があるので、楽しかったです。

ホテルは街中にあり、夜な夜な飲みに行くには歩いて行けて旦那さんと２人で飲めたのはとても良かったです。 日本人のやっている焼き鳥屋さんもそばにあり、ビールばかりに飽きていた私には焼酎がお店で飲めたのも良かったです。 また、道を挟んだ隣では朝市をやっていて新鮮なフルーツなどを買って朝から海を見ながら小さいながらのテラスで爽やかな朝のひとときも格別でした。 ただ、建物自体が年期が入っているので、部屋はあまりお世辞にも綺麗とはいえませんでした・・・。 初日にシーツの上にこぼしたコーヒーの1滴のシミがなぜか３日間同じところにあったのは？？？？ ベッドメイクもしてくれていたのに交換はしていなかったようで残念でした。 まぁ～、エコな観点からは感心しましたが。

ホテルスタッフはフレンドリー、道路隔てたお隣はファーマーズマーケットが開催。周囲は店やレストランも多く、散歩も楽しい。レンタカーを利用、有料でしたが駐車場も広くて便利。インターネットが無料で部屋で使えたのも便利。バスルームが狭かったのがイマイチだったくらいでした。値段相応、また泊まりたいホテルです。

ロケーション・値段・受付の対応は申し分ありませんでした。部屋の広さ・快適さも◎で一見問題ないのですが、清潔さの点ではいまいち。個人的に長期滞在は望みませんが、コストパフォーマンスは非常によく、気にされない方は全く問題ないと思います。

レンタカーを利用しなかったため、街の中心部にアクセスの良いこのホテルを選択しました。 また、なにせ料金が格安！ この金額では完全に得した気分です。 部屋は水回りなど多少古びた感じのする部分もありましたが、滞在するのに問題はなく、とても良かったです。 他の日本人滞在者をみかけなかったので、現地の人々とのコミュニケーションもはずみ、海外旅行の楽しみを満喫しました！ 日本人はまとまって近くのカメハメハホテルに滞在していたようでした。 今度はレンタカーを借りてもう少し郊外に宿泊してみるのももいいかなと思っています。

場所は便利なところにあります。車は裏側の有料のホテルの駐車場にとめられますが、さらに裏側の無料駐車場でも問題なくとめられます。ただし、時間帯によっては混んでいます。 ホテル自体は値段相当といったものですが、無料のＷｉ－Ｆｉや、パン、コーヒー、ジュース、マンゴといった朝食もついているので、満足でした。 泊まった部屋はエアーコンが作動していなかったので、フロントに連絡すると、すぐにセキュリティーが二人来て（たぶん安全のため）、チェックしてくれました。結局、故障だったため、翌日別の部屋に替えてもらいましたが、フロントを含め、スタッフの対応は良いと思います。

レンタカーで到着したところ、駐車場がわからず一周して道路に出てしまいました。本当は、エントランスにある別棟のチェックインカウンターのところで車を止めて、手続きをしてから、裏にある駐車場にまわればよかったみたい。 スタッフはフレンドリーです。無料の朝食はパン・コヒー・フルーツの簡単なものだけど、あれで私には十分。 部屋は４階（最上階）、眺めもよくて、ラナイでビールを楽しみました。 エレベーターは一か所のみ。最初と最後のスーツケースのもち運び以外には使用せず、あとは階段を利用。 ランドリーは3階にあるとのことでしたが利用せず。 外見は古いけど、立地がいいし、不満に感じることはありませんでした。

建物自体は古いので、清潔さや快適さを求めている方には不向きかもしれません。どちらかというとモーテルに近いようなレベルの部屋ですが、外から見たレトロな雰囲気の建物や、窓から見える景色（海も見えます）、周りの環境がとても良かったので気に入りました。料金はお手頃ですが、もう少し安くてもいいのでは？と思います。 朝ご飯は果物・コーヒー・パンのみなのでもう1品ぐらい何かあれば良かったなという気もします。プールもありますが、清掃されていなくて泳げるような感じではありませんでした。 一番印象的だったのは、昼間ずっと口笛を吹いているアンクルビリー氏でした。口笛の音色がとても綺麗で、鳥達と会話しているような不思議な感じの人でした。挨拶もしましたが、やさしそうな方でした。

観光客が多いタウンの中心部にあり、ショッピングや散歩にお勧め。部屋は広めだが、カビ臭さが気になると思いますし、洗面所などは清潔とは言えません。ただ、コンチネンタルブレックファースト付きで、これだけのリーズナブルな料金はとても魅力ですし、チェックインも３時間も早く無料で快く対応してくれ、助かりました。

コナ空港から、タクシーで20分ほどの海沿いにホテルがあります。 近くにはおいしいレストランもあります。 ホテルは古いですが、周囲も田舎っぽい場所なので、とけ込んでいて良かったです。 日本語だけだと少し苦労すると思いますが、親切に対応してくれます。 チェックアウトも規定の時間より遅らせてくれました。

moldy smell in the room and loud construction noise in the adjacent room under renovation starting at 9am created an unpleasant need to leave the room earlier than desired.

We read great reviews on a few sites about this hotel...Our experience was terrible! The room was extremely dirty; moldy shower head, hair in the sink and tub, dust on the plants, dirt in the closet and the final straw was the short and curly's and blood on the sheets. It's cheap and convenient. The included continental breakfast is very good. The plumbing and light fixtures are somewhat worn, and the big CRT TV is outdated but works fine. My king bed mattress sloped to the right side because of overuse with no turning of the mattress. But the bed and the room were clean and functional. One minor complaint is the […] second-hand smoke one has to endure from those down in the lobby area and in nearby smoking rooms (?), because of the open lanai (decks). This is a structural problem with the hotel and probably hard to fix except to ban all smoking there. I expected my stay at Uncle Billy's to be noisy because of its central, downtown location, but Kailua-Kona is relatively dead these days thanks to the economic depression, so it was pleasantly quiet as well, if a bit erie with lots of empty shops and bars. もっと読む

Stayed four nights here and love the location right on Alii Drive. Hotel was nicely priced compared to other hotels in the area. Decor is worn and dated but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This could be a great hotel, the rooms are plenty big, the location is great…..but the poor condition of the hotel makes this a less than great place to stay. The rooms were obviously long outdated. The carpet in our room was literally thread bare and all bunched up. The bumps in the carpet were so bad it was a tripping hazard. The carpets also had […] a slightly greasy feeling to them. I wore shoes in the hotel room just so I didn’t have to put my bare feet on the gross carpet. The drywall was flaking in the corners. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The shower water temperature fluctuated from hot to cold so frequently that it was difficult to get a complete shower in without the risk of scalding. The continental breakfast was a joke. They served English muffins witch take five minutes to toast, yet they only provided two residential grade toasters. The line for the toasters moved at a snail’s pace (being that they could only toast 12 muffins an hour per toaster, while trying to serve 500 guests in three hours). It felt like they strategically slowed the breakfast line with the slow toasters just to prevent more food from being eaten by the guests. We waited 30 minutes just to toast our English muffins!! On top of this, the juice dispenser only dispensed watered down orange colored liquid that slightly resembled the flavor of Orange juice. Their coffee was downright embarrassing. Pretty much the worst coffee ever. I couldn’t even swallow it. I ended up going to the coffee shop two doors down for a rather delicious Mocha. On the plus side, the staff was pretty courteous and even seemed to acknowledge that the place was a dump while having an “I can’t do anything about it” perspective. It also happens to be the cheapest hotel in the region (for obvious reasons). If I were to do it all again, I would choose to spend the extra $30 per night and stay at a better hotel. Right next to all of the main shops on Ali'i Drive and the Farmers' Market. Close to the Pier where you can swim/snorkel and there is a very small amount of sand. Several miles to the good beaches though. Maids were very friendly, but the desk staff was a little rude and not competent. Horrible!! infested with cockroaches, left hotel at 1am due to roaches running over me, stay somewhere else.

I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Kailua-Kona and Uncle Billy's was the most economical. I was not expecting a resort type place so I was VERY satisfied. Great location, the staff was mostly nice sometimes grumpy (maybe I'm not as witty as I think) and overall a very decent value.

Moldy, old, outdated, but cheap & convienient ! You can walk to most places from here, you'll have to pay $5 a day to park in their lot, but there are free public lots nearby, it's just that you'll risk getting your car broken into - remember it's Hawaii. The room smelled moldy every time we went in, but you get used to it, like a lot of shtuff in […] Hawaii, but at least the AC worked. The first room on the ground floor had sliding doors that wouldn't close, so we opted for the second floor. The goons in the pool can be noisy til late, but luckily the AC was so noisy, it kinda drowned it out. The wi-fi had signal strength issues, so we had to use their 'computer center' where you feed dollar bills into it to surf & print... Great location, great price. Hotel is a bit tired, but it's clean and has lovely landscaping. Could you a paint job in rooms, but if you keep your expectations reasonable, you will enjoy your stay.

After reading several unfavorable reviews for Billys I booked my stay for only 1 night. I regret this because the room was so great I wanted to stay longer but they were booked. The rooms are dirty and smelly. Everything is in disrepair.

Not as cheap as advertised... $5/day parking fee Not clean...Hair still in the tub. Not Cool... Air Conditioning was broke Not Quiet...Forced to sleep with the patio door opn to be cool. Brunch was good & Desk staff were obliging. Checked out the first morning. Moved to another location. .

Had a great time here, not the most modern hotel but friendly and in-expensive. Great location, the free breakfast was nice although not a substantial choice. Overall a nice place, would definately stay again and would recommend to a friend.

Our 4-night stay in the hotel was quite comfortable enough. Our bedsheets were crisply clean as well as the pillow cases. The carpet looked old but spotless. The walls need repainting though, and the sliding door to the back was not equipped with a security lock. We did not have any valuables in the room except our own lives. We had to request a cleaning […] lady to give us the "Donot Disturb" sign becuase it was not provided in the room at first. We also did not have coffee supply refill in the room after the first day. it's alright if you don't spend much time in your room. our safe didn't work and they never did fix it over the course of a week. the location is good if you like kona, we didn't, it's more of a cruise ship town and not much happening, stores open at 10 and close at 6. the property is nice but the rooms need serious upgrades. security is very weak and […] uneffective. it's okay to sleep there while you explore the island but that's about it. i should say though the staff was friendly and doing the best they could. もっと読む

I thought the reviews were being too picky, but this hotel was actually pretty low quality. It seemed like a good idea that went south. The room had dirty floors, a weird dirty bathroom, and crummy sheets that came off. But the worst part was probably loud noises in the morning, people smoking and falling over drunk outside our patio, and just the general […] feeling of being in a grubby place. Having a patio was nice, though. The price was probably $20 cheaper than the next cheapest hotel, so if price is of top importance and you don't care about being pampered, then this is an ok option. This motel is in a great location and the town is worth visiting but don't expect luxury. Upon arrival we were greeted with yawning staff and our room was not ready. Whilst comfortable enough the property in general was very tired with a dirty feel to It. Uncle Billy's was pretty much what I expected. It hasn't changed much in probably 40+ years. If you want to be right in the middle of all the activity, Uncle Billys is great. Walking to shopping, restaurants, farmers market and beaches. Great spot for the budget minded.

As others have said, it is dirty and run down. We only stayed for one night and won't be returning. For one night it is doable, but I wouldn't stay there longer.
