ダブルツリー バイ ヒルトン フィラデルフィア センター シティ (DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City)

4月17日から22日まで5泊滞在しました。学会参加でフィラデルフィアに来ましたが、大変便利な立地で学会会場や有名な市庁舎、LOVE、自由の鐘なども歩いて行ける場所でした。ホテルも大変清潔で、空調やシャワーが非常に使いやすく、大変満足しました。他のアメリカのホテルはシャワーや空調が思うように取り扱えず、いつも苦労していたので助かりました。難点はドア一枚の仕切りのため、廊下の声が丸聞こなのが、残念でした。

市内の中心部、フィラデルフィア市庁舎から徒歩５分の距離にある大型のホテルで、地下鉄の駅が目の前にあります。観光スポットである独立記念館、フィラデルフィア美術館のどちらへもタクシーで10分以内、劇場やコンサートホールは徒歩圏にあります。低価格のホテルとしては客室・サービスとも申し分なく、観光の拠点としてお勧めできるホテルです。

キンメルセンターでのコンサートのために利用しました。ホールまで徒歩３分ほどで、この目的から考えれば立地は最高です。部屋も広く、水周りも快適でした。短い滞在だったので、あまりスタッフとの会話は多くありませんでしたが、おおむね満足できる対応でした。周りに高い建物が多いので、高層階でも眺望が抜群というわけではありませんが、それなりに夜景も楽しめます。 問題は、大通りに面しているので、夜遅くまでクラクションの音がうるさくなかなか眠れないことです。早朝には消防車のけたたましいサイレンで目が覚めました。米国の都市部で宿泊すると隣の部屋からの騒音に悩まされることがよくありますが、このホテルではその問題はなかっただけに、少々残念でした。 パーキングが隣接していますが、治安の面がやや心配な雰囲気でした。夜の一 […] 人歩きは避けたほうがよさそうです。 もっと読む

Location's most convenient. I -- along with many many guests -- was there for university graduation ceremonies. We ate breakfast in the hotel -- the buffet was standard and acceptable; I had a very comfortable corner room; your location made it easy for us to move around the city (taxis were plentiful) and all went well.

We were probably just unlucky and these things can happen, but we were very unfortunate to have a room (805) which was connected to the one next to it (807) through a door. Our next door neighbours were terribly, terribly noisy, and having one of these "connectable" rooms is very inconvenient.

I am a Hilton honors member and stay at Hilton properties frequently. I chose this hotel, because of the location. It was right by the great shopping on Walnut Street and within walking distance to the convention center (I was there for a conference). I must say that this property was rather disappointing. The only way to describe it was old. The lobby […] was nicely renovated, but I felt that the hotel room itself was in need of an upgrade. There was peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom and the carpets even looked a little dirty. The bed also seemed a bit on the old side, it was a bit indented and well...used. Twice I showered without hot water. The first time I called downstairs and someone came right away to fix it. The engineer said that he turned up the hot water flow, so that it could reach the 25th floor (from the 5th floor). The second time, it was my last day and I decided it was not worth it to put in a request. Also, my room was at the end of the hallway which is also where there is a service door for employees and a vending machine, both of which are quite loud and audible while in the room. Overall, I would have rather stayed at their Hampton Inn property right by the convention center, as I have stayed there before and know that it is nicer. This hotel was very clean in both common areas and the rooms. The bathroom in my room did have a funny smell when I first checked in, but after asking the front desk to have the shower curtain it went away (they changed it really quick too). We stayed in Philadelphia for 3 nights to visit colleges. Very convenient location.The bed was very comfortable. I had read review concerning the noise from the elevators, but we had no problem with that.Close to theater, restaurants. Would come back again.

Make sure your room is not next to the elevators/lifts when you check in unless you want a late nights sleep and an early start!! We had an easy check in and out.... great room with corner windows that makes it appear bigger and brighter than a normal hotel room. Both beds and pillows were right up there with the best I've experienced. And a cookie upon check in just makes it special. We've stayed at many Philly hotels, and the Double Tree can't be beat for location and price
