Nothing bad to say, great location and great service!

This was a great hotel. Great location. Wonderful staff. Very good shape. Great breakfast. Small, but well appointed rooms. But the Wi-Fi connection is sooooo bad I rated it down. 5 years ago this wouldn't have mattered as much. But today there is no excuse for very poor Internet service in a hotel.

Literally steps from Pantheon. Rooms small.

I have visited Rome numerous times and this was by far the best hotel I've stayed in. Clean, beautiful rooms. GREAT location. Wonderful breakfast and fantastic, pleasant and extremely helpful staff. I look forward to my next visit to this hotel.

This was a lovely hotel in an amazing location, just steps from the Pantheon. The room was clean, elegant, comfortable and looked out on to the piazza. Using the hotel as home base, we saw virtuallly all the sights in historic Rome and many in the Vatican City--all on foot. The neighborhood is home to six important churches from an art/historical perspective […] and many more that we did not have time to visit. The area shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and gelaterias were great. There was a Christmas bazaar at the Palazza Navone. Breakfast was very good, with excellent coffee and pastries. The hotel staff were kind and helpful. There was free wireless Internet, but it did not work in our room on the second floor, although they are upgrading. The mattress was not very comfortable by American standards, but was more comfortable than the one in my Milan hotel. They provide slippers, ample toiletries and turn-down service with a chocolate on the pillow. Minibar prices were better than the surrounding restaurants. Would go back in a second. もっと読む

The overall quality of the hotel is excellent. However the simple twin rooms on the first floor are quite small. It is definitely worth it to upgrade to a triple room on a higher floor. Also do not trust the front desk restaurant recs, and avoid "La Donata at Due Colona" at all costs, in my opinion. Otherwise front desk is very helpful and nice.

The hotel can't be beat if proximity to the Pantheon is your goal. For the price, however, one would expect better quality room furnishings, a much better breakfast etc. The front of house staff were very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved it.. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location right next to the Pantheon. We opened our window for an amazing view of the Pantheon and plaza. They also have a great rooftop bar which is especially good at sunset on a warm night. Everything is within walkind […] distance. A great location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk to most sites of interest. Taxi and public transportation were easily accessible. I would recommend hotel! The full breakfast was a pleasant surprise and not your typical European fare.

Loved it! The location is awesome! The staff extremely helpful and the rooftop terrace a terrific bonus!

We were looking for a hotel that felt "Italian", meaning not a chain or an overly modernized hotel. The Senato delivered exactly that. Located in the Pantheon square, the surrounding neighborhood is a thriving mix of restaurants, great churches and friendly people. This hotel is lovely and it's in a perfect location for exploring Rome. It is literally right on the Piazza della Rotonda, where the Pantheon is. The Pantheon is right next to the hotel! HIghly recommended for its professional service, room comfort and location. No minuses.

This hotel has a 3 star rating, but really should be a 4 star. The only reason that I know of limiting the 4 star rating is the lack of 24 hour room service. Room service is available for breakfast, and is one of the best breakfasts we know of in Rome. The rooms are impeccable, although a little smaller than American hotel rooms, they are not lacking […] in amenities. The location is ideal. You are literally right beside the Pantheon, and a short walk to the Piazza Navonna, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, and a medium walk to the Spanish Steps. You can walk to the Colloseum, but it's about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, but I would recommend a taxi, and fortunately there is a taxi stand just by the Pantheon. There are numerous shops all around the hotel with an endless variety to choose from. There are also restaurants, small and large, within a five to 10 minute walk, not to mention several right there in the piazza at the hotel. My Daughter and I selected this hotel on the run and we couldn't have been more delighted. The staff was extremely welcoming and the location is wonderful for strolling through that section of Rome. The decor is elegant and breakfast included was a nice plus. I will stay at the Albergo Del Senato again.

We arrived on a Friday and everything was in order and we were well taken care of. Room was clean and as expected smaller. The view is priceless, you feel like you could reach out and touch the Pantheon. Staff was accommodating. I would stay here again, it is worth the price relative to the prime location in Rome. Excellent location. Were able to walk to all major sights without too much difficulty. Right across Piazza from Parthenon. Perfect tourist area. Restaurants and shopping very accessible. Would stay there again

Perfect location in central Rome. Room had view of Pantheon, with walking distance (1-1.5km) to ancient Rome (Colosseum, Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc). Metro is about 1.5 km, so not real convenient, we ended up walking everywhere (or should figure out bus system). Vatican City was a 10euro taxi ride. Modest size room, clean, updated decor. […] Staff was friendly and spoke good English (we spoke no Italian, but still got around). From my wife's perspective....hair dryer didn't work (but was quickly fixed) and no iron (fire code), but the bathroom was large and well lit. Most reviews I saw beforehand had this in the 4-Star rating, and would agree. This was our second stay at this hotel and we still love it and will stay again. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything. The room was comfortable and air conditioning worked perfectly. The roof top terrace has beautiful views of Rome.

A great experience. I walked to the Forum/Collosium, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain & The Spanish Steps. The hotel is better than the on-line photos. The staff was very friendly & helpful. A room with a view was worth the extra charge.

This is the perfect point to begin a walking tour of the city of Rome. We enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to coming back to take in more of this romantic city. We only had 24hrs before leaving the next day for a cruise, so we had to make the most of it and Albergo Del Senato delivered without a hitch. this hotel was absolutely great, the location was within walking distance of all the major attractions and the service was excellent. the only thing i would fault it on is that we did not have the facility to make a drink in the room. breakfast buffet was very good, service was attentive and friendly. would recommend highly.

The rooms were magnificent. We were on the recently remodeled 4th floor. The rooms were large and luxurious. Wonderful relaxing tub at the end of a night. The bathroom was large. The location was perfect. The Pantheon was within 100 feet of our front door. We could easily walk to all major attractions. There were plenty of great restaurants surrounding […] the hotel (Don't eat in the courtyard, venture down one of the many side streets, we did not have one bad meal.) Breakfast was delicious. The front desk was terrifically helpful. They ordered tickets for the Borghese Gallery for us and gave us helpful tips. (They also had umbrellas out for a rainy day!) This is so perfectly located and the staff is so accommodating that we could find nothing that we would change. We had high expectations because friends had previously stayed. This exceeded those expectations. Wow says it all.

This hotel sits on a fantastic location. All the major attactions are within walking distance (less than 1 mile). It was wonderful to be able to stop by the room for an afternoon rest before heading back out in the evening. Numerous restaurants within walking distance as well. Perfect location right in front of the Pantheon. You can walk everywhere. The hotel is in very good condition and we were upgraded to a three room apartment. It was wonderful!

I'll start off by saying that the hotel is in a great central location. However, there was an ant mound and dusty floors, and mildew stains on the walls of our first small room followed by mildew oder and dusty floors in our larger second room. I would not go back and would not recommend.

Stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. The location is amazing, right next to the Pantheon which means that it is placed right in the middle of all the big sights. The room was big, with a big en suite, lovely and cool and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and always available. highly recommended!

Spent one night in a triple room. Room was spacious even for three adults, comfortable beds and big bathroom. Location of the hotel is excellent, within a few metres of the Pantheon and easy to get to the main sites on foot.
