For the price this is a good value. Clean room, pool, onsite restaurant, convenient to downtown PHX. The new light rail runs past and the station is one block away. Great coffee shop within two blocks.

Hey, it's not the Ritz, but it's not as bad as some reviews I've read. My room was clean and comfortable, the TV & air conditioner worked.The staff was friendly. It's close to restaurants & the price is right. I had no complaints.

Been at this hotell for many years from one chain to the next. Staff is friendly and polite. Great location troly is just out side. Cose to shopping and restraunts.

On the website, it looked really clean. When we got there, it was supposed to be a non-smoking floor, but the room stunk, the hallway stunk, the elevator stunk. Had 830 Dr appt at VA, could have gotten up at 2 am and driven down of go down the day before. Went down day before, Day Inn is about 10 blocks from Hospital. Piece of cake to get to. Only thing better would have been across the street.

Every month or so I have to go to the VA Hospital in Phoenix. AZ. I live 200 miles away it is a long drive. After much searching I found this location which is a mere 10 blocks away. Only booked this hotel for its central location or a fun night on the town without driving, and did not expect anything above average. However, this place did not even meet average expectations. The internet was slower than dial-up, painful. The hotel is old and partially updated. For the price not terrible. Walls are thin and you can hear people talking in hallway as well as every door opening and closing. Not a bad hotel for the money

staff were not well informed of hotel policies. given the wrong room with 2 beds instead of 1 king, smelled like cigarettes on non smoking floor, room key cards did not work. changed rooms, fridge not plugged in, room smelled like wet mold, shower dirty with mold around sink and faucet. blanket had tear in it with cotton coming out. breakfast included […] white toast, cheerios, or prepackaged mini muffins and coffee....breakfast of champions! i took my dog out for a walk in the afternoon shortly after checking in and another hotel employee told me i couldnt use the elevator because pets werent allowed in this building. i checked in with my dog and they put us here was my reply upon which i was told i was mistaken and had to waste time at the front desk, in line behind others mind you, to get the situation fixed. obviously not my fault! terrible location in a horrible neighborhood. pool area enjoyable, minus no towels and no one at cabana to serve beverages. TONS of people complaining at front desk every time we through lobby to enter/exit hotel. The shower plumbing was in need of repair; there was no replacement of the cups for water and coffee, nor the packets for coffee making. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. This was by far the worst motel I have ever stayed in. Our room was dirty, smelly, and appeared to have minimal maintenance done to it over it's lifetime. The shower head wasn't anchored to the wall, the shower curtain rod was falling down, the tile was coming off the walls, the carpet just outside the bathroom was wet and sticky and smelled like urine. […] The whole room smelled. There was NO hot or even warm water the three days we were there. I was there with my grandson and porn popped up on the TV after midnight when I flipped through the 10 channels we had. For a "Days Inn" this hotel was a big disapointment. It was in no way up to the usual expectations of the Days Inn chain of hotels. The elevators were very dirty and in need of new paint and the removal of grafitti eteched on the walls. There was no ice maker in working order in the building that I stayed in. The quality of this hotel is terrible. When I drove to the hotel, the surrounding neighborhood was questionable at best. When I got to the hotel, the computer system was down andthey did not have a current manifest of where guests were staying. I got to my room and I did not need my key to open the door-it was slightly ajar and regularly didn't close […] completely. Hot water fir showers was hit and miss. It didn't work in my room, but did in my brother's room. The next morning it switched. The room did not feel clean. hotel staff was very friendly .hotel located near metro rail station.There are many shop convinient mcdonalds subway frys supermarket around the hotel.

Very nice looking from the outside... It's outta the trashy area down the street towards 17th-24th... I stayed in a Smoking Room to save money and the inside of the hotel could use some maintenance work... Nice Pool and nice bar

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with a good staff, then this is the place. This hotel was located right next to the light rail, so easy access to it. Also very close to places to eat and local bars, if that is what you like to do. The staff is very friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. However, […] there were a couple issues with the room. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed and the towels had unidentified stains on them. The staff was very willing to correct the issue with the towels, the carpet did get vacuumed the following day when house keeping came in to clean. The bed was clean, so that was a big plus for us. When we arrived in the room the remote to the tv didn't work, however, within an hour the maintenance team came up to fix it, had it working in less than a minute. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. Room chair had white crud on the cushion. Room phone didn't work. Someone set off fire alarm at 3:00 in the morning. Pillows were extremely flat. After this experience, I will be staying away from Days Inn.

Location is very convenient. The price was exceptionally fair. THe pool, lounge, restaurant, etc. all in place for someone to operate this hotel and make it what it could be! I've stayed at Days Inn hotels before and I don't remember my experience being like this... However, this hotel is by far sub par! The toilet was so dingy that I didn't even want to sit on it! They only gave our room 2 towels and we had 3 people staying in our room -- not a problem because we can just call down to the desk and ask for another, right? […] The night before showering, my friends and I plan ahead and call down to ask for an extra towel and they guy at the desk said he'd bring one up to the room. We go to bed while one of my friend waits up for someone to bring the towel, but they never brought it. The next morning I called down to ask for a towel and it's 9:30am and the front desk concierge says that no one who can bring me a towel has come in yet. So I go down to the front desk and ask for a towel at 10:00am. I don't know if he realized I was the same person who called on the phone, but he gives me the same reason why I can't get a towel right now. I asked him if he has any behind the desk and he said no. So when was I supposed to shower if I couldn't get a towel the night before or in the morning? When were there people going to come in... noon? The "continental breakfast" was just Cheerios, milk (that wasn't kept on ice), bread, and mini blueberry muffins (those were pretty good). Our non-smoking room obviously used to be the opposite, as the odor was still very present and made me uncomfortable staying there with my toddler. Used to think Days Inn's were decent but my last few visits have been unpleasant. Hotel hallways were filthy. When you look for a deal you get what you get. It was okay and if you use the light rail it is a terrific location. The 'new' guy on the front desk was pretty slow and still had a few things to figure out. When you have traveled all day you want to get through checking in quickly. The location of this hotel is very near a Phoenix Lightrail stop for easy transportation from uptown to downtown Phoenix including transfer to Sky Harbor Airport transport system. It continues to Tempe and Meas to the East. The Lightrail is always expanding so check for updates to it.

The hotel is a great bargain. Nice accommodations, well-located, and at a good price. It is right on the light rail line. If you call them directly, they will honor any on-line price quote and save you the additional fee. I will definitely stay there the next time I visit Phoenix.

A clean bed at a good price. That's about it. The finish on the hotel is quite outdated, Things look a bit rough,and the overall feel is aged. The restaurant within the hotel had all the yummy food I wanted and there was a nice grocery store within walking distance. The Trolley was also near and nice to ride to ASU.

Room was pretty clean, the bed was ok for sleeping, not too hard or soft. Pool area is pretty nice, and while it was too cold for the pool, the hot-tub worked just fine. Breakfast was provided and was just fine. No surprises and a pretty fair place to sleep on a budget.

I have stayed at this property before. It is one of the oldest convention center properties in the Central Phoenix Uptown Corridor. The property has gone through a series of sales and changes over the last 15 years and not all of the owners have kept up up the quality that I had come to expect from this property. I have stayed several times and the experience has ranged from scary to marginal. Check out your room before comitting to it. Turn on the TV, lights, anything that has a control to check to see it they work. Check for cleanliness and sit on the bed. Do a security check too. The hotel has a great pool and is convenient to local hotspots.

i got to visit the smoking side by mistake very bad inside rundown. the other side the strwet was loud when theres a party in the hall its even worse hotel staff was rude. and smelt of alcohol. very bad visit will not return at any cost

PROS: Close to the light rail, clean, affordable room. It was like staying in a larger than average dorm room. outdated, staff was extremely Nice and helpful, only one elevator working, adjacent restaurant, old outdated good service tho and food reasonable. Not much for Frills, beds were uncomfortable, wifi was slow. Pool not heated, hottub ok but needed cleaning and chemicals. It was kinda yellowish water.
