It is an older motel, but is in good shape. A person could see that it has been taken care of over the years and that maintenance is continuing. The carpet was still damp from when it was cleaned, which I greatly appreciated. Some motels I've stayed in before made me wonder when the last time the carpet was cleaned. Good price and service.

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews before I stayed...my family and I had an excellent stay for the price. Front desk personal were friendly and the breakfast was delicious..The room was clean and ac worked excellent.I would stay here again.overall, clean

I stayed at the Ramada Inn in South Padre Island. You pay for what you get. Most important issue was the high speed Internet was not high speed. In fact it was of no use. I had an apple I-Pad and I-Phone neither would connect when searching for info and etc. I used my 3G or I couldn't have done what I needed. Room was ok for the price. Very conveniently located. Free breakfast was adequate - very basic.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Service was good. Great value. Suggestion- Paint the walls a brighter color and use a brighter patterned bed spread. Rooms were clean and well maintained, but had the look of dark and sullen. The people were great and it was a great value.

The room had a overwhelming musty smell. Had to buy a can of Lysol to spray in the room to try and cover the smell. Water damaged sheetrock in the bathroom. Carpet needs replaced. Room needs painted. Will never stay here again.

This hotel is easy to get to, but the sign is small when you can drive past and not see it other hotels around have big signs that light up. The room was okay but had a ordor that I could not get rid of with lysol (which I always carry with) . You can tell it is old and has a musty smell , the door did not close right and the security lock was missing […] , they did replace but I didn't fee very secure as the door was full of holes from previous attempts to attach one. The staff was good. front desk lady was awesome- so helpful, hotel was okay..I overall I had a great time and enjoyed the b-fast. i will go back!

The rooms were good size, but being close to the sea, the rooms smelled a lot. The refrigirator is left open and unplugged, hence it took it a while to build up enough pressure to hold the door closed by it self. Staff was a bit reluctant to hand out additional towels. Older small motel that hasa b een well maintained and updated. Good size rooms with sofa, fridge, micro, big flat screen TV. Friendly girl even makes the waffles for you!

Really good hotel for the money. Great rate through hotels.com. Convenient to everything on the island. Staff was helpful and courteous, and we would definitely stay there again.

The service and location are excellent for the stay,, rooms are very clean and will definately return to the same hotel next time in town.

Overall this little hotel did everything I expected it to; it's very small, (and a bit hidden behind another building) and the tiny parking lot is a bit oddly set up, but all in all it's clean, and in the pseudo-dead season of late August, pretty quiet. During the day, at least. But at night, our room was (occasionally) a creaking, wheezing, groaning […] mess. It was like trying to sleep inside of a TB patient, except occasionally spookier. It turns out the room we were in (101) was right next to the physical plant, and I'm guessing the sound was from the water heater (although there was a distinct sound of a compressor motor shutting on and off, which was not coming from the in-room A/C unit or the little refrigerator). At this time of the year, we would've had no problem changing rooms, but we were content to stay where we were, as we're both fairly heavy sleepers. However, this is a note of caution: if you're a light sleeper, or you have easily spooked kids (and insist on a room with a single king-sized bed for some reason anyway) you probably will not like this room. Company booked this room for me for a seminar. Very friendly staff, very comfortable bed, hard to find, though - not very good signage.

Me and my husband enjoyed the hotel. The stuff was very courteous and the waffle was delicious. The room was clean and pleasant. It was also larger than expected and we love the amenities as well. We may return again if there was an occation.

My wife was not pleased to walk in and find stains on the comforter that easily wiped off with a wet washcloth, but I reminded her that we were in South Padre Island and probably 12 billion people had stayed in the room before us. Overall, a decent place for the price.

The location is fairly close to the beach itself, however both rooms we had contact with had a strong smell of mildew. The room was not cleaned very well when we left in the afternoon.

Price was right, staff was friendly and helpful. It was a hike to the beach, though. 2 miles from the convention center. Breakfast was good.

THE ROOM WAS OK. A/C WORKED GREAT AND BED WAS COMFORTABLE. NEEDS A LITLLE WORK ON FIXING ASTHETIC PROBLEMS.

Every thing was good but we had a little problem we had little ants in our sink , toilet didn't seem 2 have much pressure whn u flush it ,besides that my kids loved it we all enjoyed it a lot maintance lady was very polite front desk was very helpful in our neds , we love it & yes I would recommed it to all my family and friends we r plannin to bk again […] soon , my kids loved the swimmin pool even thou day r verly learnin how to swim . My room was very clean and close to everything. Remember South Pardre is pretty much a condo place but for the price I was very happy with this hotel. Staff was nice and pleasant.

To pricey. It had poor quality and it smelled like deoderizer throughout the stay. We were even thinking about staying somewhere else and losing out on the money. I would not recommend it to anybody.

Although we chose this hotel because of the convenient location in comparison to where we were getting married, we were shocked at the condition of the hotel. The staff were very nice and accomodating, the room was not what I expected. Most of the items in the rooms were unplugged so we didn't even know if they were working. Then the carpet was damp, […] like they cleaned it but it hadn't dried yet. Other than that the experience wasn't as good as other Ramada's that I have stayed in, but I have definitely stayed in worse. The room was clean overall and the location was perfect. The room smelled kind of funky but overall it was alright for the price..

Customer service at the front desk was really lacking. The woman there talked on the phone for about 10 minutes to what sounded like her boss, without ever acknowledging our presence. And to top it off, even though I paid for 2 rooms with my credit card when I reserved them, I wasn’t allowed to get the room key for the 2nd room for my friends arriving […] on a late flight because my name wasn’t listed as a guest in that room. もっと読む

This hotel is a little older , but very clean and well maintained. The staff and owners were all very pleasant and accomodating. It is within a block and a half to the beach, and close to many shops and restaraunts. I would definately stay again.

The room was clean and cool (a/c was on when we arrived). Location was ideal, next to some popular restraunts n shops. Staff was cordial and prompt. Continental breakfast was excellent, tasted good after a night of partying. Parking is limited, due to small size parking lot. One drawback : unsupervised teens n kids made a lot of noise late at night […] during this weekend stay. Maybe during the week will be better. Also mini-refrigerator sounded klunky n noisy when operating at night. Bed springs also noisy when getting in and out of bed. Had a great time, always enjoy staying at the Ramada Limited. Very good service and friendly staff! We will stay there again for sure!

Nice hotel everything clean and the staff was very friendly. Hard to get across Padre Blvd to beach with no stoplight. The free WAVE island bus will pick you up right outside the door for trips to town if you don't have a car.

I was very happy with this hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant and the room was very clean. I was surprised due to booking the hotel online and not having ever stayed there. Easy to get to..close to the beach and shopping. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!

Everything seems ok, from comfort to cleanliness. Its just that, our dirty towels was not been changed and when I ask for new towels they promised to send us but no one came. We came back to the hotel at 9pm and we asked for new towels and we are told that we need to come to the front desk to bring the dirty towels before they will give us new towels […] because they are out of staff at night. And for me that is so disgusting! Our room was at the very last row of the hotel! They should add more staff so that they can accomodate the needs of their costumers. もっと読む

The hotel is ok for the price. It is a few blocks from the beach as described. However, you have to walk across a four lane road without crosswalks to get there. I was pleased by the room in general. It was clean and tidy. I found it odd that the microwave and frig were unplugged when I got there. The room was short of towels. I tried to call for more […] towels but the phone did not work. I walked down and after being told to bring the dirty towels down - which I could not as I was short a few towels in the room - I was given the necessary towels.
