The hotel was very nice and the spa was great. Really good service

a. parking lot oversold, no space for paid parking. b. the room air condition is too noisy. c. Hallway is too dirty. Carpet on 2 step stair is disgusting

The rooms were spacious and well appointed exceeding our expectation. The amentities were well worth the extra resort fee that needed to be paid. There were enough activities to keep every age group occupied. The valet parking department worked efficiently and professionally and well worth the fee. I highly recommend this hotel.

The service at the Grand Champions resort was very friendly and helpful. Oddly, the hotel was not very full, even though getting reservations in the Palm Springs area was a little challenging for the spring break period, and the BNP tennis tournament was being held right down the street. We were there for the PNB Paribas Open and upon checkout spotted Rafael Nadal in the parking lot. We were able to take pictures with him. Totally awesome! The resort is only 1mi. from the tennis center and close to plenty of great places to eat.

We fournd our stay at the Grand Champions Resort to be excellent. We were attending the Indian Wells tennis tournement with our 16 yr. old daughter. We all enjoyed the resort and found the shuttle service to the tournament very easy to use. I especially enjoyed the spa. We found the hotel was just OK. The room was a nice size but showing quite a bit of wear and tear. We were there just after New Year and the hotel was a ghost town with only about 20 cars total in the guest parking area and they have over 500 rooms! The employees are very friendly and helpful but that is the best thing I can say about the hotel. The pool area is nice but it is MUCH smaller than the photos indicate. There are several small pools (emphasis on small) that were completely empty when we were there but I can imagine it is a mad house if more than 60 people turn up. Each pool (3 of them) could seriously only fit about 20 lounge chairs around it they are so small. The water slide is fun but the pool that it slides into is the size of a small hot tub so I can imagine it gets really crowded around there normally. Similarly, there are tennis courts but only 3 of them. We had room service (fast and friendly) and ate at the hotel restaurant for breakfast once and the food was just OK so a little pricey for just OK. We got a good rate since we were there in the off-season so we don't feel disappointed but if we had paid more for the room I would say it isn't worth it. I would say the hotel is more a 3.5 star hotel than 4 star. We walked by the villas and they do indeed look very nice. Perhaps it is more of a 4 star experience if you are staying in one of those but they are of course much more expensive. So, in summary we neither disliked or really liked this hotel. My girlfriend stayed here for one night. Our room was quite large, tall ceilings and plenty of floor space. The bathroom was larger than most hotels we've stayed at. The good: the hotel, service, room and grounds were fantastic. 100y walk to IW golf course. Bar was great. Did I mention how good the staff were? The bad: The food was terrible and way overpriced. This hotel is always my first choice when making a reservation in this area. The staff is friendly, the rooms are always clean and well appointed, and the bathroom is big. I would love to have a magnifying mirror in the bathroom to put on my makeup, but that's just a personal preference.

the hotel was a great place for a long weekend. the staff was friendly. the bath products rock, you will want to buy them after you use them. the hotel likes fees - parking fee resort fee, sauna fee, etc....

Very beautiful hotel. Very kid friendly! Upon check in we were upgraded to a Villa. The villa was very small but not a problem since we didnt spend much time in the room. We had stayed at the Grand champions resort several years ago and when my wife suggested we return over the Labor day weekend I was in agreement. Our previous visit to the hotel was memorable the food was great and the accommodations and service were 4 star as you have rated the property on your web site. Unfortunately it is at best a three star property, […] but I believe that star ratings are not a relevant gauge as many properties advertise a 4-5 star rating and I could not tell you when the last time I experienced a five star experience. We live in Monarch Beach home to two highly rated hotels the St Regis and the Ritz Carlton additionally we have the Pelican Resort in Newport Coast. In one of our two rooms they had to fix the running water in the bath tub, and fix the outside slider door. Second room had no problems. I was a little disappointed that the Splash Park did not work. We had a fabulous time! The room was nicer than remembered them being - huge king bed with a flat screen and sofa/living area that I didn't expect to have. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. AC is a little noisy but nothing too extreme. Carparking can be problematic as the hotel appears to have less parking spaces then rooms at the weekend. the only thing thats we did not like was the fact that we didnt know there was a $35.00 fee extra. when we got to the hotel. Everything else was fine about this place! i will stay there again!

We have stayed here many times, the resort is very nice and extremely clean, the staff is great and everyone goes out of there way to make sure you have a nice stay at the resort. We love it here.

While we enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt, be aware of the additional fees you will have to pay. Besides the daily resort fee of $25, there was a $10 daily parking fee, for self parking, which is kind of ridiculous, considering you have no other options. ROOM: Huge bathroom with separate tub and shower. It was odd that there was only one sink given plenty of space for two sinks. The room was spacious, and the in-room refrigerator (separate from the minibar) was a very convenient feature. We had no issues with the A/C. It worked fine and did not disturb myself or my friend. But, if you are a light sleeper […] or are accustomed to absolute quiet (no white noise) when sleeping, then I suggest bringing ear plugs. PROPERTY: grounds are lovely and peaceful; pools are great, but are not as spread out as the property map might lead you to believe. The adult pool is really nice with cushy lounge chairs. I was a little disappointed that the pool-side tables were not wiped off -- they were dusty/grimey (for a 4-star resort, I would have expected that to be done, but it could be one of those tasks that doesn't get done during the reduced-staff low season). We had a car, but note that this resort is not convenient to shopping or dining. So if you've no car, be prepared to eat at the Hyatt, the Indian Wells golf club or the Renaissance resort next door. You could probably bike to a few stores and restaurants a few blocks away if need be. PARKING: Self-parking is convenient (between the tennis courts and the lobby entrance). Some mountain/garden rooms face the self-parking lot, but there are mountains beyond that. Ask for a room higher up to avoid the direct parking lot view or ask for room that faces the lobby/valet entry (which is actually a lovely landscaped view that is pretty quiet). FOOD: good but overpriced. With a car, we went off-site for dinner each night. SERVICE: generally quite good. A couple of disappointments: I advised Hyatt central reservations to let this property know that my friend and I were both celebrating our 40th birthdays during our stay. We were with our 2 children (4 years old and 5 months old). The staff was really, really nice with always a nice word for everybody. This really makes this hotel luxurious. Food might be a little bit pricey for what it is but there are plenty of other options around. And the breakfast was included in the offer from hotels.com.

very nice hotel. one problem was that there was a very large young( 13-18 yrs) group staying there at the same time. A high noise level, no room at pool, and unable to sleep at night due to kids running, screaming and loud music all night. This resort is an hour from my home and I never knew it was there until I found it on hotels.com. We had a great time. ALL the staff was super friendly and the place is gorgeous. Food is a little pricey, but other than that it was worth way more than what we paid. We will be going back, this time with the kiddos!

Nice family resort. We enjoyed biking and playing foosball at the game room. The kids enjoyed the slide too. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had the Family Vacation packet which came with breakfast, very good deal.

This was a great place at an incredible price. Everyone including the lounge and resturant employees were terffic. No need to leave the property if you choose.

The Hotel does not advertise the Resort fee of $25 plus the $10 per day parking you have to pay in addition to the room rate, so you have to add that to the cost of the room. We were there when it was 120 outside and cooled off to 106 at night. The A/C unit in our room did not cool the room down good. This place is unreal! Total country club feel for a reasonable price. My wife and I fell in love with this place from the moment we walked in the door. Guest rooms are spacious, clean, and updated. They have 7 pools including an adult pool and kids water slide. The fitness center was huge with all new workout equipment including treadmills with tv's […] attached. My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. Going in August was a great deal. The staff was really nice and gave us a free upgrade to a room with huge terrace - actually 2 terraces! While it was over 100 degrees outside the pool was fantastic and relaxing. Wish we were still there!
