This is a very nice hotel and in a very nice area of the city. Overall, our stay was great and I would use this hotel again. My only regret is that the condition of our room did not seem to match the overall impression of the hotel. I think we had a room that needs to be refurbished. . . peeling paint, sagging mattress!

The Westin was of course high quality, but it seems charging for WiFi is an excessive way to try to get extra money. We used the business center for my child's school work, and ordered an in-room movie. Those charges seem reasonable, but the WiFi fee that has to be paid every 24 hours was disappointing. Good service, nice bar in hotel; good bar food; nice patio outback with access to the river. Good neighborhood to walk everywhere.

Near great restaurants and shopping. You can walk almost everywhere from here. Clean, Concierge was very helpful getting us tours booked at reasonable prices. I would stay here again.

No question, this is a class hotel in a class city. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Only two negatives: 1) the shower drain was very slow and, by the third morning, the water was up to my ankles and my showers last maybe 5 minutes. 2) the bar had my favorite gin but when I ordered, they said they didn't even have enough for 1 drink so I asked […] that they re-stock. Hotel entrance is not very appealing and lobby is dark. But staff quickly made up for it with bright and friendly greetings.

While I felt a few items could be refreshed (not decor or linens, but you can tell the structure of walls/doors/etc are older), this is what I come to expect from Starwood hotels, and particularly Westin ---i.e. trendy, but not too trendy (read: Aloft or W), convenient, comfortable. Hotel ws over-booked and were were given a room that did not meet thier own statndards due to problems with the room. This was the only option we had after reserving a Club Room with concierge service. We also came back to our room two days in a row at 6:00pm and our room was not cleaned. Beautiful luxury hotel. Our room was spacious and well decorated, though the clock radio should be updated to allow iPhone docking, not just iPods. Desk featured an iMac which was nice. Room overall was clean with a nice city view. The bathroom was clean and stocked with toiletries. Only complaint is that there was not a belman on duty when we arrived to help with baggage. Seems like the hotel cut down on staff since last year when we stayed here last. Otherwise a great place to stay in the city. Great hotel. Great location.

I expected better from a hotel with this price tag and high rating. Our room reservation wasn't set up properly, in the hotel's system. Our room class included free internet. However, when I logged onto the internet I had to agree to pay the daily access fee, then go to the front desk to have the charge removed. I later learned there may have been […] a code that, if entered into their system, would have avoided the problem. Our room class also included continental bkfst in their executive club room. Access into the club room required use of our room key. However, once inside, we had to fill out paperwork, to identify ourselves and our room. All of this info was already available to the hotel when we used our room key to access the club room. Completely unecessary and a waste of our time. One of our wait staff, in the hotel lounge, was oblivious to his duties. Appeared at our table, sporadically. One of my guests ordered soup. When asked about the missing soup, after a long interval, his reply was that they had not given it to him. In that case, I suggested, then why not ask them for the missing item. To the chef's credit, he came out, served the soup, and told us the waiter had failed to place the order. He also comped the soup which was a nice gesture on his part. Mistakes happen, but my opinion was that this server's head was in the clouds. There are plenty of competent servers available, who would love to have this server's job. Otherwise, the concierge was pleasant and knowledgable, as was were the front desk and other service staff. We were very pleased with our stay at the Westin Chicago River North. The location was very close to transportation, shopping, and restaurants. The conciege was helpful with any questions we had. We would definately stay there again.

Arrived very late due to AmTrak no service at door to help with luggage. Really dark lobby (during day also.) Wasn't told where to find cart to help. Front desk people very nice. Great location, room comfortable but halls could use a good cleaning. Overall a great room for the price.

We booked a Club Room using a Free Night promotion from Hotels.com, but were disappointed with the overall standard of the hotel. The room was dark, overlooked a 40 storey car park and the sink had a cracked basin. There is no swimming pool at the Westin River North but we were told that we could use the swimming pool at the Sheraton Hotel, 5 blocks […] away. This pool was nice, but the walk was in reality 8 blocks, which was a bit of a struggle with young kids! The Club Lounge served free non-alcoholic beverages between 5PM and 7PM, but the alcoholic drinks were very pricey. The continental breakfast served in the Club Lounge was very good. もっと読む

Passamos 4 dias neste hotel que é muito bem situado, limpo, de muito bom gosto e funcional. Fica ao lado da House of Blues, na frente do Rio Chicago, com Walgreens e 7 Eleven perto. Aqueles que reclamam do preço das bebidas no hotel, basta andar um quarteirão e comprar.Perto da estação Clark da Blue Line vinda do aeroporto.
