ザ ストランド パレス (The Strand Palace)格安予約

去年の夏も泊りましたが場所は大変便利な所に有ります。現在工事中で外壁をシートで全周覆っていますので最初に訪れる方は写真とは見た目が違うので注意が必要です。予め地図検索ソフトで場所を下調べすると間違いないでしょう。キーは電子キーで自分は部屋に置いたまま閉じ込めてしまったのでフロントで予備キーを借りて空けました。設備はバスタブが無かったのでシャワーのみでした。(去年はバスタブ有りの部屋でしたが、、)シャンプー、コンデショナー、ボディジェル＆シャワージェルが3種類用意されていました。ウエルカムドリンクとしてミネラルウォーター(500cc)とコーヒーやティバック等が有ります。クローゼットにガウン、傘、ドライヤーが備えられています。朝刊のサービスも有りました。ブレックファーストは入口で部屋キーを見せれ […] ば席に案内されコーヒーorティーかを聞いてきますので言えばポットで運んでくれます。 もっと読む

一人旅行でイギリス到着日と出発日に宿泊しました。シングルは日本のビジネスホテル程度の広さで、旅行鞄を広げられました。全体的に清潔です。最初の一泊はバスタブ付きでしたが、最後の一泊はシャワーのみでしたので、部屋の種類は様々なのかもしれません。ホテルの建物の内側の部屋だったためか静かでした。コベントガーデン、ミュージカルの劇場街、ナショナルギャラリー、ビッグベン等へ徒歩圏内で便利でした。また利用したいです。

値段の割りに部屋は質素、狭い

どこに行くにも便利な立地だった。最寄駅コベントガーデンには、エレベーターがあるので、重たい荷物があっても地下鉄で移動ができた。建物自体が、古いので仕方がないのかもしれないが、トイレの水の流れが悪いのが、唯一残念であった。

トラファルガー広場や地下鉄Charing Cross駅から徒歩5分以内。 空港から地下鉄をLeicester Square駅で降りて歩く場合、ロンドンが初めてだと（道を把握していないと）10分程度。 地下鉄、バスともに選択肢の多い立地で、多くの場所に歩いていくこともできます。 昼間にちょっと荷物を置き・休憩に帰るにも便利です。 1フロアに100室程ある大きなホテルでした。 部屋はリノベーション済み。 シングルの部屋はやや狭いけれど、荷物整理には困らない程度。キレイにまとまっていました。 無線LAN(Wi-Fi) 無料。チェックイン時に尋ねるとパスコードを貰えました。 冷蔵庫なし。セキュリティBOXあり。 ヘッドの外れるシャワー、匂いのよいシャンプー・バスジェル・ハンドソープが好印象。歯ブラシなし。 朝食はビュッフェ。内容は十分な量と内容。 ハム・チーズも豊富でした。 2011年大晦日に宿泊したのですが、ホテルの入り口はホテルマンにガードされており、ルームキーを持った人のみ入館が許されていていたので安心感がありました。 ホテル内のStrand […] Carveryはローストビーフが食べられるビュッフェ系レストランですが、20ポンド弱で気軽に食事ができました。味も悪くないです。 特別なサービスは不要で市内中心を希望する場合にはおススメできるホテルです。 もっと読む

ライオンキングのシアター（ライシーアム）には歩いて3分、スーパーもレストランも全て近くて便利でした。バスタブがないことがやや不満でしたが、部屋は清潔で朝食も満足できるものでした。

最初、周辺に同じ様な建物（伝統的な）が多く迷いました。 扉を開けて中に入ると受付を探す間も無く 直ぐコンシェルジュが寄って来て用件を聞いて来たので 最初は慌てましたけど丁寧に受付場所を案内して頂きました。 受付で部屋希望を言わなかった為、中庭側だったので 見晴らしは良くなかったのです。 窓側を希望すれば変えてくれたかは分かりませんが 駄目もとで言えば良かったかなと思っています。 部屋は伝統的な外観と違って近代的に改装されていて 快適な上、アメニティも充実していました。 朝食は入口でカードキーの提示要で席を案内されて ドリンクの紅茶かコーヒーを聞かれポットで持ってきてくれます。 種類は結構バラエティ豊富でおいしく頂けました。 朝食は事前に頼めば＋数ポンドで時間指定可でルームサービスしてくれる様 […] です。 もっと読む

サボイホテルの斜め向かいに立地し、ウォータールー橋まで徒歩3分、コベントガーデンがホテルのすぐ裏手という観光地のど真ん中に立地するホテルです。交通の便はとても良いのですが、繁華街のど真ん中に立地しているため、夜中、ホテル正面のStrandの交通音や週末深夜の酔客の声がよく届き、少々うるさいのが残念なところですが、これは利便性とのトレードオフと思うべきでしょう。 部屋は清潔ですが非常に狭く、東京都内のビジネスホテルと同程度と考えてよいでしょう。冷蔵庫はありません。周辺に飲食店や雑貨店が多く、各フロアに自動販売機も置いてあるのでさして気になりません。無線LANは有料ですが、昼間は帯域が不足しているのか少々遅く感じました。深夜の作業時は快適な速度がでています。 出歩くことが多いビジネスマンであれば […] お勧めできる環境です。 もっと読む

観光に非常に便利な場所の割りに値段がお手ごろです。 朝食も充実しています。 トイレやシャワーの水周りも問題ありませんでした。 ビジネスセンターのパソコンは日本語も対応しており、便利でしたが、2台ある内の1台は接続が悪く、実質1台しか使えなかったので、時間帯によってはとても混雑していました。

Having stayed here several times before, I was happy to book in for a couple of nights for some work in London. The location on the Strand is ideal for me, right opposite the Coal Hole, which is a great little pub with good food and excellent choice of real ales, as well as being an easy walk to Covent Garden, West End, Holborn, and easy access to Templet, […] Embankment, Charing Cross or Covent Garden tube stations for travel slightly further afield. Having been refurbished, the room was very clean although slightly on the small side, but in reality big enough for my needs. The hotel is quite easy to locate and in a convenient part of town to Theatres and Museums near Charing Cross station. The room was incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable, and we'd recommend the breakfast!

Nice hotel, had a room on the back onto Exeter st. Nice and quiet, very central and great location. Close to plenty of restaurants and also useful coop and tesco express.Breakfast was ok too - a plentiful choice of cereals and cooked breakfast and porridge. Perfect!

Stayed at the hotel before and it has always been good however this time the room was very small the bed was extremely uncomftable and the toilet did not flush properly. When I reported the problems in the morning the reception staff seemed uninterested I got a very insincere apology not what I expected for the money paid.

Doubleroom was VERY small. No view! :( Not makeupfriendly ligth in the bathroom, and too small! VERY NICE STAFF! :)

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for. Great location, great service and free wifi. The rooms were very clean, but the bed and pillows were extremely hard, making if uncomfortable to sleep.

I was a little disappointed in my room. There was no fridge, only plastic cups and I was not able to regulate the heating. The bathrobe though was lovely and the service excellent. Thanks

I booked a superior club double I did not exspect a box room with the bed next to wall which made it dificult to get in or out of bed without disturbing your partner.I will say it was very clean but maybe I exspected to much .I would not recamend this hotel to any of my friends.I would like to say that I have stayed at this hotel on about 4 other accacions […] and that is why I chose this hotel and the rooms where better than this one. もっと読む

All the rooms have been totally refurbished since our last visit and we were upgraded to an Executive room as it was my birthday. We had stayed here about two years ago and they had obviously kept our details. The room was very modern in decor with a king-size bed. Complimentary newspapers and daily replenished water and fruit were a nice touch together […] with free internet and in-house movies. As well as 10% off all hotel charges booked to the room such as drinks and meals, the Executive package includes the exclusive use of a new Covent Garden breakfast room which is tastefully laid up with crisp white table-cloths and provided with excellent waiter service and therefore avoids the long queues at the weekend. Seems we must pay over the top for London hotels, great location,service not that special, however the room was like a match box and very compact, for the price I beleive the room should be better. Would not stay again, Im sure I could find better in central London for the price.

Everything was fine except for the check in which was really slow. I gave up the first time and had to make a complaint the second try

Good - friendly staff, good service, clean and well maintained, close to City, theatres and tourist sites. Bad - tiny room and petty charges for left luggage.

We stayed for one night in February. Reception was fast and welcoming, with clear directions to the room and offer of help with luggage. Room was small, as are most central London rooms, but there was plenty of storage space, and it was spotlessly clean. I was really pleased with this hotel where I stayed for a conference. Good location - everything else is very basic. Room is very small. Food in restaurant was reheated from frozen as far as I could see. Expensive. Bar was very cold - the heating was broken according to the barmaid. All in all a very drab experience.

Central Hotel, good area and close to rail connections

Fabulous public areas. Excellent service and friendly staff. I look forward to seeing the re-furbished outer shell of the hotel. The room was small for a double but adequate for my 2 night stay

Our room was facing inward rather than on to the street so lovely and quiet. The window was a bit rickety when we opened it, most likely the reason for the scaffolding on the outside. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Small rooms but adequate for a few nights. I stay there frequently although it's important to book early to get the best rates and it's often sold out in the summer months.

We stayed in December, and it couldn't have been better. The location was amazing. That being said, I did note that the hotel is not air conditioned, so I wouldn't stay here in the summer months. If your trip is in the fall or winter, this is a great stay!

Excellent location in the heart of London perfect for Covent Garden, Theatre land and The London Eye. The hotel was very comfortable with an excellent choice of breakfast.
