room was not cleaned and had to call for clean towels for my 2nd day

Pillows were very decent, towels just kinda "meh." Other than that, a totally decent hotel. The only thing I would've liked that I thought for sure was listed in the amenities list was a mini-fridge. 4 out of 5 stars.

Toilette was not working, called twice and never got properly fixed.

Hotel was ok. They advertised a shuttle to the Harlingen airport which is one reason we selected the hotel. Come to find out the shuttle has a very limited schedule to the airport. We ended up spending an additional $30 for a taxi one way to get there.

No bugs, no problems--thats what I like. Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. Rooms were clean.

The shower head leaked; one of the plugs near the desk did not work; room door sometimes did not close properly. All was brought to the attention of the front desk. They were extremely courteous and helpful. Pet friendly hotel is a plus.

We've stayed many times. Nice continental breakfast and free airport shuttle. Reasonably priced.

We stayed here with a group from work for 8 days. Upon arrival, some rooms had refrigerators, some didn't. The clerk was very accomodating in trying to get refrigerators for all rooms that we had; however, it took until the next day to get them. Overall, it was a good place place to stay when accomodating a large group of people.

Our stay at the hotel was not what we expected. the bathroom had a ring around the inside of the tub, and a hole in the wall behind the door. The toilet almost overflowed every time we flushed it, even without having using it, what a shame..... Bed's were comfortable and did sleep well. The picture on Hotels.com is not what this hotel looks like inside or out. The amenities -- gym and pool were also not true. It is a motel, in poor shape, in an unsafe area of town. The front desk did not speak English, making it quite difficult to check-in. The rates were reasonable and I could get to the mall and grocery store easily. The big plus for me was I could bring my dogs. I love hotels that love pets.

This hotel has a free shuttle that will pick you up from the airport or bus station. A real money saver for travelers. The breakfast is nice. A good hotel for the money. Room was a little small, but for the money: a good deal. Would stay here again. Grocery store and family restaurant close.

Place was just ok, except for location near the mall which was convienent. There were alot of noisy kids in the pool area outside the room. Place is old and outdated.

I was a little surprised. LaQuinta Hotels are usually more updated than this one. The floor covering looked like the carpet pad, rather than a carpet. I liked the location the amenities were limited. Please consider upgrading this hotel to the level of the other fine LaQuinta locations.

This is a decent place to stay for the money if your there on the company dime...for my money, Id spend a few bucks more and stay elsewhere.

the motel is close to most places to go when visiting harlingen. We did not have any problems and have stayed at that same motel before.

My wife and I booked La Quinta because of our previous positive experiences with the hotel. However, while I cannot speak for any other rooms, our particular room still carried a hint of smoke. I do not know if the last person who rented the room smoked in there or if it is the remnants of years past but it certainly left a detectable odor. Our experience at the hotel was not favorable. All of the rooms are on an open walkway and exposed to every noise outside the room. The other clientele partied loudly most of the night and allowed young children to run and yell just outside our room at 2:30am. We would not stay at this hotel in the future.

Good location, close to mall, interstate, HEB, movie theatre, and walmart across the street, lots of choices to eat very close. Only downside is the interstate is right there and was a little noisy. My sons and I were in town for a tournament. The La Quinta was close to all the locations we needed to get to. Also there is an HEB store right next door which was nice. The room itself was neat, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful. The kids really enjoyed the pool too!

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was due to the shuttle from the airport that was advertised. However, if you arrive after 3 pm there is no shuttle service and you have a $24.00 cab ride to the hotel. Went to Harlingen, Texas to visit 2 bird watching centers, both located in Weslaco. Discovered that I could have stayed at a La Quinta closer to Weslaco on Highway 83 going from Harlingen to Weslaco. Hotel is noisy, old and not well maintained. They should rate this hotel as 1 star. When we arrived there were a crowd mexicans drinking on the balconies and on the pool, making noise and having parties. If I hadn't paid for this hotel in advance I would've cancelled the reservation and go to a different one.

This was nothing but an old motel that had been labeled LaQuinta. We left after 1 night, losing the money for our 2nd night plus the room I had reserved for others in our party for the 2nd night. I was woken in the night by male voices outside our door and a basketball being bounced repeatedly. I was not expecting an old motel like this at all! The outside rooms with parking in front of the doors are awesome! Really great room and the air was already cold when I went in on 7/1. That is important when it is 98 degrees and 95% humidity!

There were too many little issues (wireless internet connection problems, business office computer down, minor deterioration of building) that will have us looking elsewhere next time.

The hotel was a good value option in the Harlingen area. Though the exterior of the hotel could use some freshening, the rooms were neat, clean and update. Though there were some problems with the wi-fi service, the hotel staff did respond to and fix the issue.
