Great Hotel w great rates!! Stay here often always happy with my room and the staff is excellent!!!

Hotel is good for the money, no complaints.

The location of the hotel was good, but it was a little hard to see from the highway. The staff was friendly and cooperative, but the room looked worn and needs refurbishing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

This motel was clean, Quite and I got great rest for the overnight I was there. TRY IT SOMETIME!!!!

At 8 am, the breakfast was quite skimpy. Then, about 8:20, when we were ready to leave, they brought in the rest of the breakfast. Otherwise, a very nice place.

The room was okay, neat and clean. But the door might be thin so you could hear everything from the other rooms. I really liked their breakfast selection!!

Nice clean room, great service, excellent selections for breakfast, nice neighborhood, and close to restaurants, shopping and close to the freeway without the noise.

My family + our doggie had to find a hotel quick for the night and cheap. This place was great. The room door was really difficult to open from from the hall but I figured that just meant no one would be able to break in if they had wanted to. But no one would have broken in because this neighborhood was VERY VERY safe!

Stayed two nights. Our room's heater unit rattled a bit but it wasn't a bother. We'll be back

The customer service was very nice at the hotel. all the people we met working there treated us courteously and promptly. Nice to also have breakfast and fitness equipment was great!!

We stopped here on our way to Florida and it was just right for our needs. It was clean and welcoming after a long day of driving. And it was not far off the interstate either.

We only stayed one night, but I am most thankful for a clean room. There is nothing more difficult than booking a room online and getting past a feeling of expectancy. We chose to this la Quinta for an overnight stay near Hoover, AL (just outside Birmingham) primarily for its location, near our destination, and because the price was great. Bonuses were: free WiFi, free breakfast, and HD TV in our room. Another major plus was a very quiet, totally occupant-controlled AC/heating system - I cannot even say how many times […] I have had to deal with "upper-scale" hotels that had loud, noisy AC or utterly non-controllable heating systems. Outside access is via cardkey only, and the surrounding area was very quiet and pleasant. There is an Arby's within easy walking distance, and several restaurants delivered there as well. Good customer service and the room was very comfortable. However, the bathroom had not been cleaned very well. The room itself was clean though.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast is OK, but nothing to brag about. Room was comfortable & reasonably roomy. Hotel & room could have benefited from more attention to maintenance & housekeeping. My blankets had stains on them, room counters/tables were sticky in places, the bathroom counter face had coffee spill that wasn't cleaned, & the bathroom […] floor could have been cleaner. All of these deficiencies could have been corrected with more time/effort spent on the room by housekeeping. Sheets & Towels were nice & clean. Hotel hall carpets are showing signs of wear & tear, & some walls could use repainting and/or repair. I suspect that not enough $$ are being spent on maintenance & upkeep!! Plenty of well-lit parking, although most of the spaces are biased to one side of the hotel. 1 fast food place and a gas station (w a very small convenience store) located right next door. Easy access, located near to the freeway. Not as bad as a typical Motel6, but not as nice as a bottom of the rung Marriott Fairfield. Maybe equivalent to a middle-rung Red Roof or Days Inn. The hallway to my room smelled like cigarette smoke but my room smelled a little too much like room deodorizer but not unbearbly so. I travel with my own incense for this reason. I loved the live TV with the full moon and sound of the ocean, I left it on all night. This hotel is located immediately adjacent to the interstate. The hotel staff was VERY nice, even going out of their way to greet us by name when we came into the lobby. The lay-out of the hotel was such that it would be easy to get disoriented, so careful attention was needed in that respect. However, it was clean. The bed was nice. Nice staff - quickly took care of barking dog problem. Hotel carpet stained with bleach (needed replacing) on second floor. Overall good value.

The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of Wi-Fi in the room. They had it available in the lobby and they also had wired internet connection in the room but since I was using a tablet the wired option did me no good. This is the first hotel that I have stayed in for a long time that did not have Wi-Fi available in each room.

Thoroughly forgetable. poor breakfast Room adequate

We arrived after hours and the attendant at the desk was obviously bothered by having to assist us with checking in. Our shower was black and dirty; also, the linens and towels were dirty with hair from previous guests. The toilet was dirty to such an extent that I was uncomfortable using it. The external door near our room would only shut and lock […] if gingerly coaxed closed; overall I was wholly unsatisfied by my stay and wish I could get my money back. Sleeping in my moving truck in a rest stop would have offered a more comfortable and clean stay. I woud not recommend this hotel to any of my friends, and if passing through Birmingham again I will stay at a different location. もっと読む

The stay was fine...the television had issues.

Front desk evening guy did not come up to help with computer like he said. Also , you should have a computer in lobby for guests to use.

I requested a non-smoking room and after checking-in I realized that I was given a smoking room. After speaking with the front desk I was told that no other rooms were available. So I was stuck. In addition to being smokey the bathroom floors were dirty and TV did not work.

Great location, room was secure with inside hallway entrance. Bathroom floor was filthy on our initial entry. bathroom floor had scum along top of base tiles and in corners. Air conditioning controls did not work. Coffee pot was not cleaned and resupplied for second night. Room had smell of mildew and/or urine. Complimentary breakfast was great. Bathtub could be cleaner, but it was fine. Long walks to get to the room were inconvenient.

I wish I had more time to stay. T?he front desk woman was just so nice as well as everyone else. Very clean, larer than I thought and her follow up call made me feel welcomed and appreciated! Overall, a great hotel for a "lower" price. Could not get on the web even though they listed wifi in room. Wound up talking to tech support in Warsaw, Poland (not kidding) with no results. Went down to lobby to log on. Also not told that you had to turn on the light switch by the door to get the electric plugs under the desk to work. first, they gave us dirty room, waited for about 20 minutes to get another room. (while we waited) i've see numerous people coming back for clean towels, no remote control, dirty room. We found one dirty towel with 2 other clean towels. No plastic bags for trash cans, i had to use walmart plastic bag to cover the trash can. Smell like old or dirty in […] the room. what happened to wifi ? they said we have to go to the lobby to use WIFI, thats something new to me. No ref or microwave in my room. approximately 9:30pm, they tried to give two ladies to our room. They were struggle to open my door. We had to open and find out that they had our room number 332. next day, check out, I told the manager PAT that i want to file complain about this hotel that I have never had experience in the past. She couldn't find any information of whereabout I was suppose to stay at room 331 that room was never cleaned out, so apparently someone who transfer us to room 332 never updated on the computer. She told me that she will send me one free night stay certificate, and it has been 3 weeks, I never got any mail from LaQuinta in Hoover for one free night stay.
