The stay was fine. The coffee percolator in the room didn't work despite the supplies were there.

Was that it is dog friendly. Unfortunately, it's very obvious. The staff was very nice and helpful but the hotel's a dump.

Not much to say because I only stayed two days. The room was very clean. The mattresses and pillows were so very soft. Was able to get a decent night sleep even though I was dealing with a cold.

All kinds of electrical problem, old and run down

We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort of the beds and that the room had a fridge and microwave. Not the best area, but they have security and it was fine. We needed to be close to the bus station for an early morning departure and this was just right down the street so very convenient. Staff was very nice and friendly. The assistants and hotel staff were very nice and friendly. When the shower would not work in my original room the staff was able to quickly move me to another room where the shower worked and the floor was cleaner. The beds were clean and comfortable as well. The hotel is older and could use a make over and from the picture I thought the LaQuinta was […] and inside hotel with rooms inside. Not bad hotel. Ok neighborhood, security guard on site. Pretty clean overall. Room was clean, amenities very adequate for a quick stay. Nicely located in town, breakfast the next morning was pretty sad, but the hotel was absolutely booked up the night before and staff was trying hard to keep up with the ravenous guests. Everything was decent. They need to raise the showerheads though. I hated having to duck to wash my hair. I'm about six feet tall and the shower would get about chest-high. Did I get the short person suite?

nice, quiet, comfortable. Staff was very polite. Not bad at all for the price.

Nonsmoking rooms were available according to hotels.com. When we went to the room, we found that the room had a tobacco smell and that there was an ashtray on the bedside table. I asked for another room (confirming with the staff that we had a non-smoking), but this second supposedly non-smoking room also had a smoked-in odor. Although there was no […] ashtray in this one, there were clear cigarette burn marks on the room's coffeemaker. The cigarette smell was not just in the carpet but in the bedsheets and the towels suggesting that they didn't wash these before our stay or that they are stored in a place where people smoke. Looking at this motel's listing now, I don't see that nonsmoking rooms are available. So, either my memory is incorrect about this point or the motel has changed their information. But, regardless, the motel should have pretended that they had non-smoking rooms at the front desk.. The second disappointment was the continental breakfast: although one shouldn't expect much at this cheap price, one tends to expect that real milk is served when serving milk. However, this milk was clearly from a powdered mix. (Of course, you don't need to have cereal or use the milk for coffee. I'm just letting folks know.) Otherwise, the motel was fine. If you're a smoker, then you may be ok. Still, I would have expected a little bit better at the price I paid. I have stayed in much better budget places at this price in other states (with generally higher costs of living). Stayed here as a halfway point during Christmas en route from Texas to Florida visiting family. Staff was friendly enough, but overall, everything was pretty average: averagely cleaned rooms, beds, space, etc. Not a bad deal, and since we were only there a few hours, didn't really matter that much. Decent spot to stay for a quick overnight trip.

The hotel was much nicer than I had expected, with a flat screen tv and clean rooms. There was a very noisy party outside in the early morning, we called the front desk, they called security and everything was quiet again; so I really appreciated that. I'll probably stay here again when visiting family.

You people need to get out and inspect these hotels. Again I paid too much for a poor night's sleep. The best western was excellent and costed a lot less!

I stayed at this hotel for a very low rate so I can't complain too much, but you get what you pay for. Over all not too bad but the hotel is old and the room wasn't too big. I would only stay at this hotel if the rates are very low.

Not the best I've ever stayed at but certainly not the worst... was adequate to our needs especially for the price.

Your staff was welcoming and polite. I would stay with you again.

For the cost of the hotel, I would not recommend this hotel, The room was clean, but the refrigerator and the tub were half cleanned, I had my own cleaning supplies which came in handy, bt I expect a hotel tub to be very clean. It was not.

The hotel was just as I expected. Not exceptionally nice, nor clean, but I got exactly what I paid for. There is a mall and some chain eateries located down the road, but don't expect a 5 star place! Good if your just passing through and need a place to sleep.

Hotel served as over night stay for grandkids exchange with their parents. Offered adequate sleep accomodations, free breakfast and pool for kids in the am., before we began another 5 hour drive. would book again. price was right, also

I thought that the room was dirty and affected my health.

When we arrived the room smelled a bit, kinda like it had been a smoking room at one point. The bathroom toilet still had urine in it. The air conditioner worked but would cycle on and off every five minutes and was very loud. The staff was friendly and I think did the best they could with what they have to work with. When we walked into our room initially my grandson commented "it smells like cat pooh pooh in here". The room was musty smelling and poorly insulated. The pool was disgusting - green and cloudy - even after they "shocked it". I won't book here again.

We stayed one night. Front desk personnel were nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was simple with mostly carbs (bread, cereal, yogurt, Belgian waffles, etc), but it was great for a quick, simple meal. We stayed at an extremely busy time. The weekend of the largest graduation in the history of ULM. The staff kept up with replenishing the food at the complimentary breakfast. there is a railroad switch yard and the trains work after midnight. If you stay in the rooms away from the street you won't get any sleep. I was in rm 138 for reference...otherwise it was not a "bad" room. just no sleep.

Large spacious room with very comfortable double beds. Very clean. Includes microwave and compact refrigerator. Very convenient to Pecanland Mall and all its nearby freestanding retailers. Will definitely stay again.

Room was not clean. Fast food drink lids from previous guest between bed and night stand. Cup rings from same on night stand. Hair in bathtub and sink. Room appeared to have been re-plentished with towels etc, but NOT cleaned. I will not return.

Too close to train tracks; heard trains several times during evening. I was excited to stay at LaQuinta (thought they were more upscale) but was very disappointed. The motel was run down.
