this hotel is not in a safe area , i would not recommend staying here , seems more like a transient hotel then travelers , nothing to do in area except maybe get robbed .room was acceptable once you were locked inside , spend the extra money and stay in a different area . but the hotel staff was very friendly

Close to where I needed to be.

The is the second stay, and we won't go back. They have too many young adults who stay there and are up all night. No one seems to care or complain about the amount of noise they make.

We really enjoyed staying here!!!! The room was clean , bright, and it was very quite.

felt unsafe. approached by a person asking for money, then approached by another asking if i wanted to buy drugs...all within 15 minutes of stay. tub dirty, room smelled. i refused to stay. rate should be 20$ a night..

We enjoy staying at this motel. The low rating is for Denny's your next door neighbor. Their service was horrific & we had to leave.

The Staff at the hotel made our stay comfortable. This Hotel is very busy in the mornings, staff were able to cope with the breakfast rush.

First of all, I was disappointed that the hotel wasn't as nice as the La Quinta on the same street, further east. Everything about the room was older and slightly shabbier than I expected. The hotel staff was pleasant. The room was clean and not musty smelling. The continental breakfast is o.k. For the price, this was a pretty good deal! Good location too!

I was upset from the beginning because I had intended to reserve a room at a different La Quinta (also on Thomas Rd., but about 70 blocks east), so I ended up in a whole different neighborhood. I decided to make the most of it, and the location was actually really convenient - easy access to all the major highways. For the coffee lovers - there is a […] Starbucks *literally* right there in the parking lot of the hotel. It's not convenient to get to by car (due to barriers and medians and one-way), but you can walk out your door and go directly in. There is also a Denny's right in the parking lot as well, which seemed to be open 24 hours or at least very late. Despite the highway-convenient location, I did not find my room to be noisy at all. My main dissatisfaction was due to the following: (1) I'm not crazy about motel-style hotels with doors directly outside (limited security), (2) I arrived late and tired, and I was sent to a room that was not clean and possibly inhabited (unmade bed, light on, tv on, (3) later that night at about 5 am someone tried to get into my room, using a key I think, although I was pretty spooked and sleepy - this was the end of my night's sleep only four short hours after it started, given my late arrival, (4) the person I called when I woke up terrified to the sound of someone aggressively trying to open the door was not immediately sympathetic or helpful - although eventually agreed that a security officer could swing by and check it out, and finally (5) the room had no mini refrigerator, which I know use up a lot of energy and are not green, but they are really convenient when traveling and faced with ridiculous restaurant portions. もっと読む

Hotel was decent. Its in a kind of a sketchy area and as a woman I wouldn't go there by myslef. Soap was hard on the skin as well were the sheets. If you can get past the feeling of not feeling very safe you should be fine.

Staff was freindly an helpful. Breakfast was not bad. Yougert, Waffles, Hard Boiled eggs, Toast and Bagels OJ, Coffee Cereal. Great Italian restaurant accross st. Denny;s next door. This is an older LaQuinta on the dodgy side of Phoenix. The rooms are old-ish, the bathroom is outdated and the shower head is so low that you're lucky to get your belly washed. First room was extremely dirty. Second was not much better. Breakfast was not good. Not up to standards.

everything was very good!

Shower was plugged and had to ask for room to be cleaned...will not go back.

I wasn't expecting a lot from the hotel, just a place to sleep but was pleasantly surprised. The bed was really comfortable and sheets were soft. The room had a new HD TV with HD programming on it which was really nice (normally I get a nice TV with the SD stations which defeats the purpose). The hotel was easy to get to right off the highway. Upon checking into our 'handicap' room we discovered we could not maneuver our walkers in the room. The room smelled of cigarets and the air conditioner was not working properly, other than that it was fine. You should invest in bigger towels and new ones at that. We'll look in to staying again we love to travel and this was the first time staying in your hotels so far from the stadium.

Had business at the Maricopa County complex on Durango Road. This is the closest hotel that I would consider acceptable to stay in. NOthing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Included breakfast is pretty sparse, but Denny's and Starbucks share the same parking area.

The only thing I can say is that this hotel had an easy check in and check out. The first room we got had been used already, the internet did not work in our room, the carpet seemed set when you stood on it without shoes and when they cleaned your room they did not leave towels behind.

the hotel bath room was fair to poor. the toilet was very small, the shower I think was made for a 4 foot tall person, I had to bend over to wash my hair, very uncomfortable, very odd smell in air conditioning system.

I told my friends and family some family members enjoyed the last stay. They will be staying at La Quinta from now on.

Very quiet despite being right by the freeway. Staff was very courteous. Checked us in right away. Room was clean and comfortable. I would definately stay there again. Thank You! :)

The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and checked me in very quickly. The room was clean and the linen was fresh. My only difficulty with this stay was the Shower head was to low, I am over 6'2" and had to bend at the knees to wash my hair, just a slight inconvenience . Other than that it was a great stay.

Free internet and breakfast...what more could you want? This place was just fine for what we paid to stay there and close enough to downtown, but not in it.

I always stay at la quintas and I was a little disappointed in the condition of the building, it has definitely been around for awhile. The room though was nice and clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was a little run down. For the money though its a good place to stay.

Older property. Has been spruced up recently. Staff was courteous. Although, I would have appreciated that the housekeeping staff understand and speak english without me having to use my minimally passable spanish and hand gestures. All in all, a good stay for the value.

There's a Mexican restaurant right down the street called La Pinata that is an absolutely must eat, great food and great atmosphere at great prices :) Make sure to check it out.

We were very pleased with our choice. Also stayed at the La Quinta on Greenview for 2 nights. It was even nicer with the amenities. The employees are very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is comfortable and extremely close to everything. There are 4 fast food restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast room is intimate. Food selection is very good.

This really met our need. No extra charge for the dog, continentel breakfast (bagels, muffins, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee). Right off freeway. Pool if we would have wanted to swim. No frills but fine. Was nice to have the dog welcomed.
