Clean, big, not expensive, extremely big pool (indoor) make this a good place for people with small children travelling to other places to stop. Especially appreciated services (groceries, drug store, coffee shop, gas station) located close to the hotel.

The common areas could use some updating. Front desk staff needs some polishing. Overall, impressed with the room for the price. Mattresses could use replacing.

The entire hotel staff was friendly, helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay a great experience.

The only complaint we had was that the beds were very uncomfortable. Otherwise the hotel was perfect for our visit with family that live in the area.

The breakfast waitress does not keep up with th ,e demand of people. The whole breakfast system needs to be looked at. It used to run more efficiently.

The hotel was great. A good bed, a clean room, and good bathroom. The parking is alittle strange and might be difficult to park a vehicle with a trailer attached. Otherwise, great.

Good stay, quite, clean room, not satisfied with the breakfast service

I was recommended this hotel by business peers that live in the area & though it may be revered for it's catering and wedding banquet facilities, it lacks greatly in ammenities necessary for a business stay. They have no functional "business center" beyond an internet portal kiosk, and their "free wifi" is not only unreliable, but slow wnough that they […] shouldn't advertise having it. While I am a technical analyst and may be seen as biased, their connection was comprable to a 14.4 baud rate and it was consistantly that slow( over the course of 12 days), there's no good excuse for that other than pure lack of service and hardware provisioning. While they may have *new* furniture and bedding I found it to be very low grade and the fixtures and overall design of the hotel still in need of updating. If you're dropping through for a quick overnight or need a place to shower and sleep while on a ski trip this facility will work, but for myself as a business traveler I went across the street to the Hampton Inn and was pleasantly reaquainted with the normal expectations of our currnet decade's business traveler. もっと読む

Hotel is in great location for Elk Mountain skiers. About 20 minutes to slopes. Hotel is not the Hilton but they do try. For the money it was worth it. Rooms are bigger than the Hilton as is the pool. Great continental breakfast, pool and staff!

Excellent breakfast,comfortable beds Only consideration is the bathroom taps are difficult for older hands...large,square shape harder to manipulate.

We stayed here the night before we were going skiing at Elk Mountain. It was a very nice, clean hotel room. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and it was located right off of the Turnpike and Route 81. We would definately stay here again.

The hotel and restaurant were both top notch. I would highly recommend staying here if given the opportunity.

Definitely recommended it for anyone staying in the area

Stopped there in the midst of a road trip. Very close to both I-81 and the Penn Turnpike to Philly. Hotel is a bit to the older side but was very clean and rooms were well furnished and the beds quite comfortable. Room locations are very spread out and if you have a lot of luggage, note the two floor hotel does not have elevators (didn't affect me.) […] There's a pretty good continental breakfast available in the hotel lobby area. Pleasant place to stay. Friendly staff. No bed-bugs.

All was great. The rates were better than expected. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Indoor pool was lovely and hours of use generous. I will certainly book there again of the rate continues to be competetive.

different then your chains. friendly staff. breakfast was nice. staff was young adults that were pleasant. Rooms were nice.

The bathroom needs an makeover. Toilet is much too low, toilet holders are ancient and lighting is very poor!!!!!

really glad i found this place. A very fine place to stay

This hotel is nothing like what you see on the website. It is old and run down, but they try to cover it up with minor renovations. The sheets were dirty, with holes, dirty carpets, moldy bathroom grout, and the location is noisy. The hotel fronts onto a main street and backs onto train tracks with active trains all night! Overall, an acceptable place. Don't plan on consistent internt connection. It drops from the wireless about every 30 - 45 minutes (which requires me to go through a 5 minute security process to return to my company's remote website). Don't forget to put out your "do not disturb card" as housekeping is knocking on your door at about 8:30 am (we forgot […] both mornings of our stay). Had thanksgiving with family and friends in hop bottom pa.. Drove up from lebanon pa... My wife and daughter were pleased with the comtable room and swimming pool.. They're pleased dads pleased...

Lovely stay -- room was very clean and spacious and offered nice patio. Associated restaurant had great drinks and food. Overall a great experience.

Having stayed in other chain hotels in the area, we found this locally owned and operated facility comfortable and of high quality, especially at price. More than expected. We have no qualms about returning when we visit again.

We spent one night at the hotel on the as a stop over between New York & Niagara falls. Hotel is modern and very nice. Staff were extremely helpful. Really nice hotel. Only negatetive is that the pool was a a little cool.

Over the past two weeks, my wife and I have stayed in the Nichols Village both on our way from Ottawa to Baltimore and on the return drive. On each occasion, we found it to be an ideal hotel for our purposes: very close to I-81; excellent, friendly service; spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean, very comfortable rooms, and with a very good restaurant next […] to the hotel. Nice pool! Up to 9 feet deep and has a separate hot tub room. Rooms were spacious and reminded me of a Four Points or Hilton Garden Inn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Laundry room was clean with newer machines. Got my laundry clean. Had a great stay and would stay here again when I return to Scranton.

The rooms was huge and very clean. But the walls were paper thin. We kept hoping it would get quite, but if it was not the people next door, it was the people above us and on the other side. Try to get an end room if possible. Nice big pool and very helpful pool guy,

I was visiting family and friends and Nicols Village accomodated my travel needs. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean, it was nice to come in after a long day to watch TV on the flat screen or go to the spa. The only issue I had is that the room needed minor maintenance and updating. The hot water knob was loose in the shower so it was difficult […] to adjust the temperature. I was in the original part of the hotel, it would be nice to have the older part to be updated to match the new section especially the fitness center located in the Chestnut building. Front desk was slow and clueless. 2 families and 3 rooms on our way to a memorial service and not very accomodating after calling and being told that we would be all set. There are no pull out couches as pictured and a cart or air mattress is 15 extra dollars! The pool was nice though.
