The Hotel ABD in New York is very neat and close to the mall and all the restaurants. I usually travel to Holyoke and will definitetly stay there again.

This hotel was good in a pinch but in tough shape. I also learned the it was a homeless shelter with lots of sketchy people around. Price was ok but should be cheaper for what you look at. Old and outdated, needs a make over.

Great location! Cheap price, Not very clean and very outdated. Toilet didn't flush right and shower was aweful. First room smelled like smoke. They were kind enough to change my room and that was better. I think it a shelter for the homeless. To many sketchy people around.

I was put in a room on 2nd floor way in the back. I do not like parking in dark parking losts using the back door. I went to front desk and asked if there was anything they could do for me, and without any problems at all, I was moved to a room on 1st floor near the main lobby. stay was good, hotel clean, pool still not open. I was there durning a snow storm. I had no complaints.

I had the heat on 85 degrees and froze to death. The heating system was blowing cool air and it was about 17 degrees outside.

the hotel staff was nice, and the room was clean. i stayed there in the winter, and the room was pretty cold when i came in. i thought the heat should have been turned on. location was great as there is a big mall, and it is close to the highway.. overall i would recommend this hotel to a friend, and stay there again

not a lot of guess at hotel. less than 20 cars in lot, assuming some were staff. last time I stayed here summer 2011, it seemed like a welfare hotel with thug like people hanging around front entrance and in lobby but this time did not see that type of activity. The hotel is in a great location. The only issue I had was the room stayed cool even when the heater was on. The bed by the heater gets heat but not the rest of the room.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and it wasn't that bad for the price at all. Bummed the pool has out of service for a while. The room was ok. The pillows were very small and there was grease or something black on the bed skirt but everything else looked clean. The water was a yellowish color so we were a little grossed out about showering […] but the water was that color in the mall too so that wasn't the hotels issue. No one told me that he third flood was a homeless shelter. I'm sure some of the people were nice, but I did run into some strange people.

The hotel is clean and is conveniently located near the mall and the college. Sadly, the pool was closed; the elevator didn't work; most of the game room was out of order; and the tv was a bit of a mystery on how to watch "free" television. This hotel is right off the highway and right next to the mall and lot's of restaurants - it has a Friendly's attached to it. It was surprisingly clean but the outside is poorly lit with no obvious sign for the Hotel. It was very quiet. The indoor pool was under construction.

Overall the hotel was good...nice staff, clean rooms, pool was closed because it was getting fixed. Throughout the night the other hotel guest were being very loud and it was difficult to sleep.

Hotel staff was very nice. Hotel room smelled of mildew and amenities (TV, Clock Radio and Iron) need replacing. Toiletries were lacking, to include a shortness on towels. Overall not worth the price charged and not in a 3 star rating

Staff was helpful and friendly, but the rooms are in need of updating. Mildew in the tub appears to have been caulked over, and while the room was generally clean it was a bit dingy and had a slight odor to it. I would stay somewhere else in the future, but in a pinch it worked.

Stayed here after going to a wedding. Pretty much just stayed in room to sleep. Was clean and quiet.

We stayed at this hotel because the hotel that I usually stay at was fully occupied. The room was dirty and the staff at the front desk was not the least bit concerned when I mentioned the state of the room and the amenities that were not provided. Next year I will be making my reservations early so that I will NOT have to be exposed to this hotel.

With business meetings in Northhampton, this hotel proved to be an ideal spot. It is located right near the intersection of I90 and I91 which makes it easy to move in any direction. Friendly's restaurant provides nice meals, including a great breakfast. Not a bad place to stay. Recommend it.

For a good clean basic hotel, this is it. Unfortunately, the pool was being renovated. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. A Friendly's restaurant ajoins it. There are commercial establishments like restaurants nearby. A CVS will open soon. It's a decent spot for a reasonable price. DKS

Needs updating e.g. flat screen tv, nicer bathroom(though it was fine but old looking and sterile).

I stayed at this hotel 15 months ago to attend a graduation at UMass in May of 2010. the pool was closed for repairs. 15 months later it is still closed for repairs. Really? Lightbulbs were out in the room and not replaced. The elevator would not go to the third or fourth floor; had to go to 2nd floor and walk up the stairs. We were not happen with the outcome of our stay. We were told that the hotel was overbooked by 6% and although we had booked a 2 bed room we could not get one. I slept on a cot that was awful. We also found out upon arrival that the pool was under renovations. That was not noted on the hotel.com website. Although the hotel was clean our overall stay […] was not enjoyable. もっと読む

TV was going out, elevator broken and stairwell littered. Pillows were uncomfortable. Smelled smoke sometimes although it is a smoke free hotel. Hotels.com gives this a 3 to 3.5 stars...more like a two-2.5 Overall clean and quiet but would prefer a more updated comfortable room.

The place was very clean, beds were very comfy, very close to tmy daughters school. Pool out of service. Guests should be told that ahead of time. We'll be back.

Our room, which was supposed to be a non-smoking room, reeked of smoke. There was a light bulb missing from one of the lamps. There was a long, grey, sticky patch of tape residue on the bathroom floor. It had been raining all day and the room was so humid that the carpet felt clammy and damp. I've encountered noisy air conditioners in hotel rooms before, […] but this was the loudest I've ever heard. I would have requested a different room, but I heard the front desk clerk tell a phone caller that they were booked up solid. Only stayed one night but well worth it instead of driving back 2 hours after visiting The Big E and seeing a show. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy off and on the highway. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel was older but clean. The bed was comfortable but not luxurious. This hotel is also a little noisy.

the king bed was awesome

This hotel was in a section of town that was unsafe. The pool was closed. The atrium was used for storage and there were people living there on a long term basis. Very scary.
