"Would not recommend this hotel....there are better hotels for the price."
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel needs some major updating. The room we had felt like a motel room. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the walls and there was a hole in the wall. The TV in the room is really old as it was a 19 inch TV from 1995. The beds were not comfortable and the carpet had a lot of stains. The lock […] on the outside was pretty much falling apart because the bottom of the lock was coming off, so we felt somewhat unsafe. "In very poor shape"
The rooms was so humid everything was wet. The walls, the magazines, furniture. They said there was nothing they could do since they were sold out ands since they just took over hotel management 6-8 months ago. The towels got wet from when they exchanged them till we got back to the room. The rooms in "the tower" may be better. "NOT UP TO RAMADA STANDARDS"
THIS HOTEL IS LOCATED CORRECTLY, RIGHT OFF I-10 NEXT TO A CRACKER BARREL AND A STRAIGHT PATH TO DOWNTOWN TALLAHASSEE. IT IS A SHAME THAT THE RAMADA CORP. DOES NOT KEEP UP THE HOTEL. I GUESS THAT IS WHY IT WAS SO CHEAP. DIRTY CARPETS, OLD LINENS, LIMITED SERVICES...NEEDS REAL UPDATING.
"All the guests were treated unfairly !"
Normal check-in for our room @ this Ramada or any other hotel is 3 p.m. However all the guest, including us were informed that we could not check-in and go to our rooms until almost 7 p.m. This was due to a visiting football team was staying there and their coach would not let them leave their rooms until 5:30 p.m. And then these rooms had to be cleaned, […] before we could have them. "Stay Inside"
I decided to stay at this hotel last minute. When I looked at the pictures of the hotel, I decided that it was a nice hotel to stay at and I made my reservations. Upon arrival and check in, I was told that some of the rooms weren't cleaned, but I was getting the type of room that I requested. However, I was placed in a outside entrance room that smelled […] really bad and was in a section of rooms that patrons with pets were required to stay at. Went to get something to eat, came back, room key didn't work. After several trips to the front desk, I requested to be placed in the same type of room, but in doors, which was arranged. When I returned to gather my belongings, ran into maintenace, who was able to access my room by unscrewing a panel and climbing into the room. At the point, I felt very unsafe to remain in an outside entrance and was glad that I was moved to an inside room. My point, the rooms with outside entrance do not seem safe, the rooms inside was very comfortable, even the shampoo, condition, soap and lotion was upscale. "Worst Hotel Experience Ever"
I booked this room several months in advance. I had two email confirmations with a check in time of 3:00. I called at 10:45 on my way into Tallahassee to see if I could check in any earlier. I was told 3:00 was the check in time. So I showed up minutes past 3:00 to check in. While I was waiting in line I overheard three separate guests getting in heated […] disputes with hotel staff over not being allowed to check in until much later. There was a sign on the counter that stated: "Attention Football Fans, due to the late check-out, check in will begin at 9:00 p.m." 9:00 P.M. check-in? Really? I have never stayed at a hotel with this type of policy. The problem was that the Miami football team stayed there the night before and did not wish to check out at the regular time since their game that night wasn't until 8:00. So to keep the team happy the hotel decided to crap on all of their other customers that were scheduled to check in that day. Keep in mind that everyone that was checking in that day was there for the game and had better things to do than sit in the lobby for six hours while waiting for them to get their act straight. When it was my turn in line I was of course given the same line of BS that preceeded me. I told them I didn't care and that this issue wasn't my problem and that they needed to find me a room right away, clean or dirty. At this point I just wanted a place to drop my bags and dog so that I could get to the game. Instead of apologizing or thanking me for trying to come up with a compromise the check in lady called over her boss and said "I want you to hear this". I interrupted her and said "Why are trying to build a case against me? You're the ones who screwed up. Give me 2 towels and 2 keys and I'll be on my way". Again, no apology. She told me there's nothing that she could do. I told her that wasn't true, that there was plenty that she/they could do, they were just choosing not to. "Needs a lot of improvement"
We were not allowed to check in until 9pm the day of our arrival and the room's air conditioner was broke and could not be fixed. That should sum it up, this place was terrible!
""Good accommodations""
For the price and a last minute booking everything was fine. We were just disappointed that the restaurant stopped serving breakfast and shut down before the 10:30 am closing time as was posted so we had to go offsite to a restaurant.
"needs improvement"
pd upfront for rm through hotels.com, the hotel charged my cc again after I had checked out.(for a lower amt I might add). the clerk didnt know where the rooms were really located. the bathroom was not cleaned vey well and the room wasn't completely stocked with toilet paper,coffee and it's condiments and cups like it should have been.they did send […] everything shortley after requested.
