Shuttle long wait and commute. No restaurants within walking

Loved the hotel, the staff was amazing. The buffet breakfast was not up to par and the hot tub at the pool was not very hot and the jets were very weak. These are minor in my opinion and I highly reccomend the hotel.

I don't like the fee on parking and also there is no elevator in the parking building.

The only problem was that my bank card had a hold of 20.00 dollars placed twice for incidential which I did not use any and now I had 40 dollars tied up for 4 to 5 days . I know this doesn't seem like much but to me it is because my husband lost his job and I don't get paid for another week and I don't have acess to this money. THank you.

The fact that the hotel provides transportation to and from Reagan Airport and Pentagon City Mall is a big asset. From this locations you can take the Metro to any place in DC. At Pentagon City Mall you can also take the Blue Route of the Tour Bus and start right away touring the capital (you can transfer to the other lines at no extra cost). The motel was fine, but when I reserved the room online, I was informed more than once that there was a hot tub IN THE ROOM. However when I arrived there, there was a hot tub in the pool area but not in the room. I would not have booked the room if I knew there was not a hot tub in the room. Did not get the rooms we reserved with bed sizes requested and still had to wait until well after the 3 p.m. Check in time for what we did get. Oh and pool is only open from 5-10 p.m. Why would you have a big pool and hot tub and not let guest use it all day! Staff could not have cared less about any of it.

Wonderfully comfortable beds and nicely appointed room and bath,free WiFi, no traffic congestion around hotel, fast easy access to I-95, grocery and drug store across quiet street (walkable in one minute), helpful courteous staff, and hot cider and chocolate chip cookies when I came in late on a cold afternoon -- Lovely! Marriott does it right.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Even though our purchase through hotels.com hadn't processed, the staff allowed us to check in and gave us a room waiting for the confirmation. The swimming pool had very restrictive hours with no posting of those hours. They were not posted on this site, Marriott's site, nor the pool door. They said law required a lifeguard, which I don't think is true. I am a true advocate of lifeguards, but they need to pay attention to the swimmers and hours need to be posted.

great service and staff; very friendly. Shuttle service not as satifying.

We had a delightful stay. Staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous, particularly the gentleman on duty when we checked in. Our daughter had forgotten to copy certain documents she needed for a visa application and he saved the day. All in all, a great stay. I would highly recommend the Courtyard to all.

Very Nice Lobby, bar area. Technology has obviously been a priority at this hotel. Flat screen tv's everywhere. Very convenient to our destination

My 2 young children and I were stuck between floors in the elevator for 45 minutes. Although I tried several times to use the "in case of emergency" button, all I got was static. When a voice finally answered, all I heard was "hold please"! I had to call a family member on my cell and ask her to notify the front desk that we were stuck! All that was […] offered in compensation for our trouble were 3 bottles of water, although when I insisted on a complimentary breakfast the next morning the people at the front desk agreed. The hotels around the DC area are all way over priced. It's expensive for a Courtyard, but for the area it's a good dea. It even has food service for breakfast and dinner. It's limited, not a full blown restaurant, but OK. The area is not your "lets take a walk area" but it's easily accesible to all the major highways and easy to get into DC

The hotel was very nice and the front desk, and shuttle personnel went above the standard for our visit along with others staying there over the past weekend.

One of the stops during whole East Coast trip. Convinient location to get to all "must see" in Washington DC. Very nice service, good coffe :)

We stayed in this hotel for one day on Sept 23rd. Its just around 7 miles from the Monuments and it is in a nice location. Check in was very quick. We got a nice top level room and we could see the Capitol and the Washington Monument from our room. Parking is just outside the hotel and as everyone says, it is 14$ and not 10$. Recently renovated front […] lobby is awesome. I used the business center for taking some printouts which was good. The rooms were neat and clean. Near washington, clean, parking, cvs and supermarket in front, indoor pool.. Great choise

The hotel was fine, the service was good, very nice employees. However, we did have something disturbing happen. We only spent one night there and the next morning while we were getting ready to leave there was a knock on our door around 9:30 or so in the morning. I took two steps toward the door and before I could even get to it or ask who it was, […] the employee put his key in the lock and opened the door!! He acted surprised to see me and apologized and left, but it freaked me out a little. I had just finished dressing and my husband was in the shower and our 3-yr old was still sleeping. Check out was not till 11 and it was not even close to 11. We told the lady at the front desk and she called a manager over and we told him as well. He apologized and said they would run a check on the lock and see who used their key since I did not get a name. The service was good. Only stayed the night, arrived late and left early but the beds were uncomfortable and the building is old. Not really impressed.

Pros: Shuttle service to the Metro. Clean room. Laundry room on site. Very courteous staff. Cons: Parking fee was higher than what was quoted. we were very happy with this hotel they were doing construction in the lobby but this did not affect our stay.we checcked in at 9pm with no problem they compted us breakfast because of the construction which was nice. I would stay here again

The 1st nite in the room I had to complain to security about noise from room next door. When They came to my room they explained they had trouble with those staying in that room the nite before. Same problem. They offered us a new room on different floor. My grandson & I had to change rooms at 1:45 AM . Packing up our bags and moving. It was obvious […] that they didn't want to deal with those guests. We paid the price by moving at 1:45 AM. I feel that management should have offered me that nite's stay for free. There was no compensation offered for our inconveince. They had no cart to move our luggage as the same problem room had the only cart they had in their room with there clothes hanging off it. Despite the fact the hotel was under renovation, I enjoyed my stay. It was very quiet and serene. The indoor pool and exercise facility was up-to-date. Breakfast was great, but not complimentary. However, the ice machine wasn't working on my floor but I was able to go to another floor.
